Wow! These girls love each other so much! I recently lost 2 of our stray boys who were with us for 19 and 16 years and moved from TN to AZ to TX. While in AZ, a feral stray Siamese gal landed on our doorstep and after seeing Mr. Blinky (our 16 year old that has now passed away)...she never left us. She was skin and bones, very skiddish and didn't have anything to do with anyone except mewing at Blinky through the front door glass window. So, I started shooing off a HUGE ginger tomcat that was relentlessly after her even though she would have broken under his weight -she was so young AND malnourished. I plied her with rotisserie chicken and eventually let Blinky go into the backyard after she'd run through our back gate. From then on...they were thick as thieves...even though Blinky was a neutered cat. She actually had one litter of kittens before we could catch her to get her spayed. That was a real trial! She had 4 girls in that litter and I found homes for all but the runt who I called Stringbean. We didn't think Stringy would make it. I had to bottle feed her and Simone (the feral momma) seemed to not want to let her feed when the other kittens kept knocking her away. I could not let Stringbean go and literally after bottle feeding her into a happy fat little kitten...I convinced the hubby I had to keep her. Flash forward 7+ years and another state away...those 2 girls from Arizona are the only kitties we still have. Simone took Blinky's sudden death hard a month ago, but not near as badly as we anticipated. She used to howl until Blinky would come play with her or lay down with her to snuggle. Like wake up the neighbors howl. So, it is shocking to us that she's not been searching for him and howling. Thankfully, we've got her daughter Stringbean with us...so they have each other to chill with, but they don't snuggle. I think the feralness is with both of them although Stringbean will let me hold her sometimes. They are not snugglers though. We miss that in our boy cats. So, I always thought girls, especially feral girl kitties were never that friendly. To see Chloe with Ramona though...WOW! They are changing what I thought I'd learned. Thanks for what you do to help those cats. The feral cat population here on the Mexican border is just crazy! We've seen it first hand in AZ and now here in TX. So sad.

I was up last night watching and they did the same thing around 2am (EST). I wish I could adopt both of them but I know I would not be able to give the care and attention Chloe needs. I hope that someone out there who can give both of them the perfect forever home (together of course) is watching and that they adopt them. My heart will break if these two precious friends are ever separated!

I'm just now seeing this almost a yr after. I saw these 2 moms helping each other in the deliver video of Chloe's babies. I can't believe what I saw. Never seen anything like this. It reminds me of 2 human sisters helping each other out with child raising. It reminds me of my own sister and me. 💞

I've seen this several times in barn cats and ferals. (In the bad old days.) Usually it's mother and daughter or bio-sibs. This allows one queen to hunt and one to protect the kittens. This is so lovely, but I am So glad this will be their last litters. They are great cats. Thank you for caring for them. My days are over. My last rescued litter are 15 now- too wild to home elsewhere. And one Guamian cat my sister brought back.

Such a friendship! I’ve been watching your live cam, and wondered about who’s kittens were whose, and now I can see how the decision to coparent came to be! It has to be so much easier for Chloe and Ramona to share the parenting of one combined kindle of kittens!
