A short (little bit average) video on a Star branded lawn edger, unfortunately I could not take it out on the lawn this time as I did not have a new blade on hand for it.

These quirky machines are good for a chuckle. We have one at work. Carb completely varnished, bowl is black. I don't see it worthwhile to do a carb clean in a commercial environment. New carbs sell on ebay and Aliexpress for around $20 for this 152f Loncin/Lifan engine.

Hey man, great video. I have one of these I've been using for about 15 years I reckon. At the moment can't start it, and I think it's to do with the carby. There must be a blockage somewhere because the plug is bone dry after trying to start it. I took the blade off and tried to start it with a drill because as you say, trying to start this thing with that cord is a pain in the arse. What model is the carby in case I need bits for it? Do you offer a carby refurb service? I love this machine, and it's served me well over the years. I believe it still has some life in it yet.

Well you've successfully convinced me that I need to invest in an ultrasonic cleaner asap. Can't believe how effective that thing was. Besides which, you've almost gotta take out a mortgage to buy carby cleaner over here at most places, and a can doesn't go very far, specially if it's a really crappy gummed up specimen you're having to deal with. So I guess the ultrasonic cleaner will soon pay for itself.

@@junkyarddog87 Yeah geez does it what. About the same over here, dunno what's in it that makes it so pricey. I usually just get the good old SCA branded one because it's somewhat more sensibly priced. Some people reckon it's not as effective as the dearer options but it sees me right 95% of the time and buggered if I'm paying north of $20 for the other stuff. Still, it won't be costing me much at all once the new toy arrives on the scene. Take it easy over there mate, really enjoy your videos.
