TIP: Magnets for tool storage

I bought some of the cupped magnets from Lee Valley (they have a hole so you can screw them to wood) and put one on my workbench, tablesaw stand and jointer stand to hold steel engineers squares. That way I always have one handy and don't have to go searching for one.

Ya know those really good magnets you find in old hard drives? If you use a torch they come off real easy from the bracket, but they lose their magnetism. (The voice of experience)

Magnets are great for storage if you use them right, all my ratchet extensions are stuck to my tool lid with big magnets.
