1:37 What an incredible call back to 1:16. I don't know why I find that impressive and polite of Fry.

The top flips like that because it’s rotating on three axis instead of just one or two. The shape allows it to access and rotate along a third intermediate axis thus turning over on its end. If the shape didn’t change and both sides were the same, it would eventually flip back and continue in this way until momentum is exhausted.

Same as how a ping pong paddle will always land on the other side when you flip it

@@Ethan-Entah actually yeah. Kind of. Basically. The paddle has access to 1.5 (not really but numbers like these are easier to think about over dimensional planes and vectors) axis of rotation because of how it's constructed. So. It flips. It actually kind of slips from one axis of rotation down to an intermediate one which causes the flip. In space, it would just keep on flipping until it was acted upon by another outward force.

About the most fun I had in school was machining tops in metal shop...was kind of obsessed, and ended up using around 5 meters of aluminum round stock. The teacher finally banned me from making any more.

The Earth's magnetic field has reversed, and can be expected to reverse again in time: the woman alluding to this sounds confused about what she'd heard/read.

Notice that's there aren't as many laughs as usual in this clip. Then notice that there are mainly women in this episode. Women always seem to be a bit more serious than men, even if they are comedians.

George Danbar, do you count all the laughs in all the clips on all the seasons? Granted, there were fewer references to forbidden body parts, creating a void for those who feel saying “peepee” is great humor.

This show uses "moronspouted subjective giggle banter" to draw the t.v zombie into a false sense of knowledge wellbeing by fusing cheap stand up garbageisms with toyfactual textbook graphititis and thus creating "beebification of the feeburbs"and gratifiying the pro licence lobbits.Regards,Proffessor Rob Telfish...Media studies Wakefield college of Origami Leeds.

"Wakefield College of Origami Leeds" xD Either his knowledge of punctuation is as flawed as his reason (assuming it's not a troll/joke in the first place), or there's a fantastically specific college he teaches at.... I imagine Wakefield citizens have better things to do than study how to build origami models of Leeds, no?
