Adventures in getting tipped. What happens when you put quarters on the stage (please don’t do that) or $100 bills onstage (don’t expect to get them back). And of course, never be too shy to give a little money. :)

Most I ever tipped was a one hundred dollar bill. I prefer to tip normal amounts like 2-10 bux but its absurd to tip EVERY dancer since not every dancer should be up there. Ugly is ugly. Tats are more horrific than not. Quality of the dance, the talent and time put into the art of it - that ultimately decides if I reach for my wad. Girls have seen me spend thousands a night and spend 5 hours. I like to think I can talk a bit with each to know them. I like how one dancer had showered and just cuddled with me for a half hour while I dismissed a couple of girls from my VIP table. She knew I wanted her, she saw me admiring her dancing and she refused to take a twenty from as she exited the stage. She was high, it was cute. Melody was different, no tats, pale skin, tall, brunette and just a natural beauty. We slipped to the store and shopped for a bunch of clothes so she could show off in the dressing room. We took pics and we looked good together. Her high wore off, she invited me to leave town with her. I got the number of the Thai/Puerto Rican waitress who was watching me all night. As a single man, I love my me time but I need my dancers and shopping pals. They look good with me, they enjoy themselves, I know them. I tip because I have been a limo driver for stars for years, Ive owned companies where the business is defined by how well customers tip drivers. I get it, I pass the tips on to sandwich makers, sushi waitresses, cooks, dancers but only the dancers act like entitled morons.

tipped a dollar back in the day lately i used $2 got them at the bank $200 banded from the federal reserve consecutive serial numbers. i'd warn about paper cuts. i'd usually go the slow nights monday tuesday i'd tip enough to pay the girls show up fee $25 usually 8 to 10 gals on the slow days. one gal was a real gymnist i tipped her $20 every time .once in a while i'd tip a $100 they would pick it up and put it in their guarder. a russian gal and i would have a political discussion in the VIP. did this numerous times . the ladies knew me well . not going these days i was a steady customer to the tune of about $30,000 over a couple years. it was fun and i'm not taking it with me in the end LOL

About 1:00: Tossing a quarter is also dangerous, the lady could step on that quater and go slip-sliding away onto the floor and hurt herself or someone else. If you're gonna tip with a coin then make it a gold Krugerrand so she'll notice it and put it somewhere safe since you don't need it.

I'm thankful that my state is free of stupid laws like this. We used to could tip a dollar and get the nicest hug. That hasn't been happening resently. Now I like to get dances.

I went to a club in Canada and they encouraged bouncing loonies and townies at the girls. The dancers would lay out a towel, and you bounced the coins onto the towel. Some shot for the spot, too.

who in their right mind would throw quarters on the stage as a tip?
@oakleavesandonions771

Usually guys who are trying to be insulting. Sometimes guys who don’t know better. We had one guy try to pay a girl in Canadian dollars on the border, and she was ready to throw them at him, and he was like, “No! No! They’re Canadian!” He had them all stacked up in this nice, pretty tower, right at the edge of the stage where she wasn’t likely to step on them so it seemed pretty clear he knew they’d be dangerous if he just chucked them up there.

24:15 are pole tricks necessary to make good money? I wouldn’t think guys care whether or not dancers are doing tricks or not.

Pole tricks definitely are not necessary. But I loved playing around on the pole far more than I loved being a stripper. (For me being a stripper was just a way to get paid doing something I loved.) That being said, pole tricks do generate money. A lot of strippers try to really amp up their sex appeal to get money- sensual clothes and makeup, slow fluid movement, showing off certain bodily assets, etc. But I found that it was very easy to generate reliable income simply by being athletic and putting on an entertaining performance. Yeah, men weren’t fantasizing about me in bed as much as they might have otherwise, but a significant portion of the audience was willing to tip a few bucks if I did a particularly impressive pole trick. A few bucks multiplied by the majority of an audience on a packed night still means my bills are getting paid. Since that was what I liked best, anyway, that’s what I chose to do.

How much were private dances, when you were dancing ? Right now Lap Dances are $30, which is reasonable. But the private room dances start at $300, (I'm in NY downstate, not NYC). Also how much goes to the dancer ? $300 is expensive entertainment. Thanks.

Would give a two dollar bill be a good way to tip??

If it's a busy night and the stage is littered with money, then any kind of bill works, really. If it's slow in the club and you're practically the only one there, and you're also sitting right up next to the stage, you might want to give a little more. That's something I forgot to mention in the video-- if you're sitting right up next to the stage, tip generously. If you're sitting farther away from the stage, especially if you're talking with another dancer and not necessarily watching the stage, there's much less expectation that you're going to be giving money. So, if you're sitting well back from the stage and not really watching, but you stop to walk across the room and give the girl onstage a dollar (or a two dollar bill) that works. She knows you're not really paying attention to her, but she'll generally appreciate that you took the time to tip anyway.

it just seems rude to throw tips at a dancer of any denomination, poor planning on that guys part always separate your denominations before going in
