I live in Japan, so during the sign-up process, when I'm asked for my address information, I'm unable to complete the form since it does not recognize international postal codes. This applies both for Social Security registration, as well as for attempting to sign up for Medicare. Anybody out there having the same problem ? If so, I would welcome any suggestions.

You'll need to reach out and call the Social Security Administration. Be prepared to hold for a bit...

Thank you for your reply. To make a minor correction to my original post, I can not create a my on-line SSA account for the reasons I had mentioned earlier. After playing around a bit, I found a link that let me use my Japanese address. So I managed to sign up for Medicare A&B. Will try later for the Social Security application, might be able to make that work as well. Tried to contact SSA via phone, and after waiting for 90 minutes or so, I was told via an automated message, that my call could not be completed since it was after normal office hours. How's that for great customer service?

Thanks for your wonderful video. I have a question. I live in Taiwan, and I would like to know how to create my Social Security account. I understand that the system does not allow foreign addresses to be entered. Could you please tell me how to create my account using a Taiwan address? Thank you in advance, and have a wonderful day.

Wanted to change my physical address at the SS site and couldn't, since we moved from one state to another, the SS address has is our old one, wanted to change that to receive all communications in our new domicile and of course to file for medicare in the next months and receive our medicare card on the mail to the proper address. How can I do so?

Your best bet is to probably go into your local Social Security office to make those changes. Kind of a hassle, but that way, it'll get done.
