Another place to get the double bladed lightsaber is Bogano. There is an underground puzzle near your ship. To solve it you need to have the push ability.

Two more tips. Firstly, you don't HAVE to rest at the Meditation spots. If you do, you respawn all the enemies. You can just use them as save points. If you just meditate, it will save your game, but WON'T respawn all the enemies you just killed. Secondly, even though you can't parry or block an enemy's attack when they glow red, you can still attack the enemy and if you score a hit while they glow red, it will interrupt that red attack. Enjoy!!

Another tip: You can force push rocket troopers rockets back and blow them up. It's so funny 😂

I got the fallen order bundle on black friday - first game I thought would be worth it for me getting a new system... and I am fucking loving every minute of it.. really wasnt expecting to have quite this much fun with it but I feel like a kid again - excited to wake up and start playing it. don't go do dathomir for the lightsaber. get the slicer upgrade for bd1 on zeffo and you can get the double bladed lightsaber in the old workshop on bogano.

One tip for this gameplay I have, USE THE LOCK ON FEATURE WHEN FIGHTINGGG. Makes it so much easier...

Just explore don’t try to speedrun and the levels look small but they are deceptively massive and the scenery is beautiful

I got the double saber on bogano, so when you said Dathomir, I was like "that was a joke and he is trying to get us all killed." I have it and have yet to make to Dathomir. But it might be because I'm a little raccoon who loves to find secrets instead of paying attention to plot.

I love going slow through fights, especially with a group of enemies. It makes you feel so much more BA after you tactically take down a bunch of stormtroopers.

Yes double blades do less damage per hit, but the attacks are faster than single blade attacks. In the end its about the same dps.

I personally thought that waiting for the double lightsaber (at least my first play through) felt a lot better story wise.

FInally got the game yesterday, Love it. Lightsaber combat is really satisfying and the gameplay is a thing of Beauty. I´m glad EA let Respawn do their thing and didnt interfere too much.

You don't have to go to Dathomir to get the double bladed lightsaber. You can also get it on Bogano after you finish your objective on Zeffo. Once you learn force push you can unblock the bridge to the abandoned workshop and there you will find the double lightsaber upgrade.

am i the only one that got the double blade in kashyyyk? the second time i visited the big bird let me ride its back and it brought me to a workbench where i got the double blade

Once you finish Zeffo, BD will gain 'Slice' so you can return to Bogano, enter the workshop and get a double-blade lightsabre there a lot easier than Dathomir. In fact, a tip I would add is you've completed the initial quest line on one world, go back and grind a little on the previous worlds. You can probably unlock a few other areas with new abilities, practice combat techniques, and as the areas respawn easily you can farm quite a bit of xp and get yourself a few spare skill points.

I like how it has the option to return to the planets

To be fair, the game tells you these things. For example, red means blocked green means go, you find this out on Bogano really early; You NEED "Push". The game actually tells you; Exploring rewards you. This game is slow down, enjoy yourself. No need to rush. BD-1 is awesome, love that little droid. Kinda reminds me of R2D2 ^^ I have spoken

Another tip that I’ve found very useful is that this game likes to put bosses by a ledge and if you’re having a hard time or don’t want to mess with them, AND IF YOU HAVE PUSH, just throw them off the edge :)

I just got this game yesterday and I'm loving it so far! Thank you for the tips. Dathomer (I probably butchered that) was actually the first planet I went to after the opening. I learned very quickly that this wasn't a "spam x until things die" kinda game.

I have the feeling this game is introducing a lot of new players to souls like games like sekiro or bloodborne. It feels like a Mix of uncharted, sekiro and god of war

I was able to get the double bladed lightsaber in the abandoned lab on Borgano after Zeffo. Just make sure you get the slicing tool for BD-1. Again, still early in the playthrough without the difficulty of Dathomir

I got the double bladder saber at the top of the Wroshyyyr Tree...

Just play sekiro before this game and you will be a parry god

A big tip specific to combat, try to parry any blockable moves instead of spamming dodge. Dodging is great, but it can often take you away from the enemy you are fighting, not letting you punish a missed attack as much as you could if you parry and retaliate. Parry also does not deplete your block meter, but instead drains your enemies block meter, so it is very rewarding to get down. Many fights actually really depend on you getting parry off.

Force push is your best ability. Nothing like knocking off a strong enemy off the map and not having to fight them 😂

I was really scared of Dathomir, so I went there last. While on kashykk for the second time, right after the bird flies you to the top of the tree, there was a workbench and that’s where I got the double saber.

A tip for the spider, you can actually dodge it's surprise attack. If you roll at the right moment, you completely avoid the button mash.

You really need to learn how to use light saber attacks that use force powers. Yes it depletes your force bar, however for every regular blow you strike you replenish your force powers. So combine all your attack abilities. Parry, regular hit (replenishes force), overhead slash (depletes force), parry, regular hit, light saber throw, Hit, dash and flip blow . . . Rinse and repeat. Makes the game more enjoyable and you take down bosses even faster with combos of force and not force blows.

Got the double blade on Bogden after going to Zeffo the first time.

The biggest puzzle is getting back to the ship.

Abandoned workshop on first planet is where I found my dual upgrade. Went back after completion of the main quest on the next suggested planet. Not doth, it was pretty easy!

The double bladed lightsaber can also be found on either the first world you visit of Zeffo, i found it a way from Dathomir

Ppl keep talking about Oggdo Bogdo on Bogano, but for me the freakin force push puzzle sphere right where the mantis lands was worse.

Seriously such an amazing game. I haven't had this feeling since the LucasArts days with the Dark Forces series and Jedi outcast/academy. EA really surprised all of us I think, including themselves.

I recommend going to bogano after the first Zeffo tomb you have to go to the abandoned workshop zip line down then push down the bridge

You can actually get a third stim upgrade on Bogano once you can wall run. In the cave where the giant lizard thing looks down at you.Find how to access this cave from outside and get down into it via the vines and there is a upgrade chest there.So when you go to Zeffo you get a fourth stim and so have four really early ingame.Explore everywhere you can once you get wallrun, there are heaps of things to find ie life essences. First zeffo village you come to with a a dozen or so troopers,just rest each time you kill them all, moving from the meditation spots at each side then moving back to kill them all again. Easy xp and super fun trying to kill them all without taking a single damage hit.

I finally got 100% on maps, force echos, unlock able skins. Everything. And out felt so satisfying to have done all that.

best tip i can give from experience when I first started, is explore and practice fighting, it's ok if u die, u get a better understanding of the mechanics such as blocking , parrying, dodging, etc and try to grind enemies that are tough like on first visit to dathmir, I got better at the fighting quick and gained tons of exp to get sum early perks b4 continuing with story

Very nice experience in the Star-Wars universe. You are continously learning how to master the abilities you are gaining through the levels. The only drawback is some bugs but nothing really harmful. Great game !

The Nightbrothers are SAVAGE and hard to beat, their melee weapons deal a lot of damage if you're not ready for them. BLOCK first when they start to attack, then when they finish attacking, parry and then counter. When they turn red, you'll have a small window to counter, but not long. They go down MUCH easier if you've blocked them and then counter. Having the dual blade is very effective against the Nightbrothers, since it will block their melee attacks better. The archer Nighbrothers are much easier, you simply block their light arrows and then move in for the kill, or Force push them off an edge if they're standing near one.

TIPS Using force pull on the oganos to expose their tongues to cut them off The dual lightsaber is fast at attacking but deels less damage Use force slow to attack scout troopers while they are attacking with defence up to do damage Force pull while upgraded can pull small non boss enemies then quickly kill them unless they are purge troopers

You can also upgrade to the double saber after you get force push and the scomp link repair. Going back to Bagano, and finding your way into the workshop. This makes it so that when you go to Darhomir, you get a lightsaber sleeve just by walking up to the work table where you could have gotten the upgrade.

You can use flame beetles to take out other enemies, use force pull to drag them towards you, aim at enemy, & then force push them to take out a decent amount of damage. Every useful against those bastard spiders.

I've played a fair amount of RPGs, and most of them run the same way: You have the one main mission to get through the game, but in order to level up your character and really get into the universe you're playing in, I always go to the non-mission directive places first. So me, I figure, "shit, I'll just go to Dathomir first... get some decent skills, level up my character and then go to Zeffo." 4 hours later: 'WHAT KIND OF WIMPY SHIT FUCK OF A PADAWAN GETS HIS ASS TAKEN DOWN BY THE LOCAL WILDLIFE?! WHAT THE FUCK?! OH, SORRY FUTURE GENERATIONS OF JEDI... OUR HERO WAS KILLED BY A FUCKING SPIDER AND SOME WEAK FUCK DARTH MAUL WANNA BE WITH A STICK!! FUCK THIS GAME... AHHHHH!!!" Followed by: Double light saber... you mean this whole time, I could come here... and not DO ANYTHING?! Love the game, but man... Dathomir is a total n00b trap.

Bought the game for $20 at Walmart a week or two ago and loving it. Tried playing with just a keyboard but reached a point high in the tree's that I had to get a controller! Now I'm trying to get use to it and switch back and forth

You can also get a double blade upgrade on Bogano if you’ve gotten a scomp link for BD and Force Push from the first part of Zeffo. It’s around the area with the bogdo attacking the grub things, push down that bridge and follow the path. You’ll find it even if you aren’t paying attention much beyond where you’re going.

Every time I play I take at least 2-3 hours and take about 3 sessions to leave 1 planet. Also if you enjoy a challenge along with the story, play on jedi master difficulty, the combat is so much more fun when they engage you as well.

Well I already did all this before watching the video and one extra tip make sure to unlock the run and block and then you can block shot mid run and it is especially good with the double light saber and you can doge a 1 sec before the hit

I just spent most of my time exploring and got 5 stims by the time I got to kashyk

One you didn't mention. When getting shot at don't try to parry each individual bolt. It doesn't work, you'll almost always take a few hits no matter how fast you are. And there's a better way. Just focus on the first incoming bolt. Parry it perfectly and don't release the block button. If you do it right you will take no damage from any of the bolts, and you will reflect every single one of them back to the shooter. This even works on the machine gun/energy shield troopers. Even better, with a mix of enemies try to get the melee guys in between you and the ranged guys. Nail the first parry and the bolts will mow down the pack of melee dorks. Only one it doesn't work on is the rocket launcher of course. For those push the rocket back right after he fires and blow him up. Or if you've got guys down with you just kite them around and the rocket trooper will blow them up for you.

You can obtain the double blade light saber from Bogano too. Cal talks about honoring Cordova if you do it the way I did.

You can also find the double edge light Saber on Kashyyyk after you climb the special tree and meet with Tarful..... That's how I got mine before even going to Dathomir.

You can get the Double bladed lightsaber on Bogano after unlocking force push on Zeffo. No need to brave Dathomir before you're ready.

Double Bladed Lightsaber can also be found in Kashyyyk. Granted, its not super early into the game, but it still isn't that late. You can get right after you take ride on the giant Bird creature to reach the top of the World Tree.

unpopular opinion. Wait for the story time to get the double bladed lightsaber, getting early sorta ruined the experience for me and trust me, it's a powerful moment!

When your on bogano you can find an underground workshop where you can get the double bladed lightsaberreally early in the game and its really easy to get it. Its on the far left side of the map when your ship is at the bottom of your screen.

I got the double bladed light saber on Bogano before I went to Kashyyyk for the 2nd time. I was talking to Cere and she suggested that we go back there to get some hidden supplies. So there are multiple ways to get the double bladed light saber.

You dont need to go to Dathomir! After finding Master Cordova's sabre on zeffo go back to Bogano and find the hidden workshop. It is literally a minute walk from the ship in a circular building. You couldn't access it before as you need scomp link and the force push ability you get on zeffo. Once in the workshop Cal then welds the two Sabres together and bang, you have a double blade without the hassle of Dathomir :)

I just went to my ship from the ice planet and im already on 29 hours... i also have only touched on the frog boss and the albino spider boss (not main mission bosses) i didnt even touch the other two bosses i came across, dunno why everybody has the need to finish the story as fast as possible maybe u just need to up the difficulty :D

The duble blades can be get from bogama too. Go to zeffo get the push ability and ho back to work shop in bogana, push that little bridge thing progress the area bit and there is a workshop and there you go duble blades. Also can be get on Kaashyyk too. Right before the 9th sister boss, up on the big tree

I don't know why everyone says to go to Dathomir early to get the double-bladed lightsaber. It's too difficult early on. You can get it from Bogano in the Abandoned Workshop, after visiting Zeffo the first time. Explore Zeffo as much as possible, and you should be able to get the Scomp Link very early, which will allow you to go inside the workshop and you'll find a workbench there that will give you the double-bladed part. I got that very early in the game and didn't visit Dathomir until the story took me there much later.

I've been eating this game up. Literally everything, every video, I watch, every 1. Love love love this game. N I don't normally play thru many but this caught me by surprise

I beat the game on jedi grandmaster and didn't utilize nearly 20-30% of my lightsaber moveset. Whether it's the single saber mode, or dual sided saber mode I did not utilize my dash attack nearly as much as I should have. Also I thought there would be some type of achievement for beating the game on a harder difficulty however that is not the case. While i should have checked before i played , i was kinda disappointed. I could've bumped the difficulty down when facing bosses with only 3-4 stims. I also could've got the double sided saber a whole lot earlier, I ended up getting it pretty late, compared to others who went and got it asap. Don't be afraid to parry or quick evade, do it as often as you attack and dodge. It will significantly improve your standing with anything. I didn't do this and suffered through a lot of mistakes and respawn screens. Do yourself the favor. Edit: you can also get your dual sided lightsaber in bogano instead of dothomir, however you will need BD-1's Splice ability.

I am so glad I read The Courtship of Princess Leia. In that book Han Solo wins the entire planet of Dathomir in a card game, but it is behind Imperial lines. He kidnaps Princess Leia to make her fall back in love with him (Long story, also Chewie beats his ass for it) and they crash there where they are hunted by Force witches that ride Rancors. As soon as I saw that planet in this game I went there ASAP just for the experience. So glad I did

Bro, watching your game captures... I feel like I need to give you some tips :/

Even if you don't have to rest or use skill points, if you are progressing through a level stop at each meditation spot anyway. If you skip one and then die or quit the game for whatever reason further in the level, you'll respawn/reload at the LAST spot you activated and not the one closest to where you were when you died/quit. Also; once you get a couple of the Force powers and the running/heavy attacks, you can completely brute-force (no pun intended) your way through most enemies. Parrying looks cool, but is slow and almost never really necessary. Finally, make sure to find all the secrets and chests that you can the first trip you take through Kashyyyk, because having to go BACK through that level is annoying and time-consuming.

Don't go to Dathomir until the quest tells you too you don't need a double ended lightsabre that badly and the way you get it as part of the story is much better. Game took me 35hr for 100 all collectables scans etc.

i actually found the double blade saber by accident. I wanted to see what dathomir was since it sounded dark and while exploring found the saber randomly. best mistake i ever made lol

You dont need to go to dathomir to get double lightsaber if you have unlocked force push you can push down a brick wall on zeffo and get a scomp link for BD1 then you can go to bogano then go to the abandoned workshop unlock the door then bam theres a workbench infront of you wich gives u the double bladed lightsaber

You can get the double light sable in Bogano in the abandon workshop. Just go to the areas you miss due Bd-1 upgrade to slice (you can find it in Zeffo) and Cal push ability. Also is different looking than the one in Dathomir.

Just wanted to let you know you do not have to go to dathomir to get your double-bladed lightsaber. Just return to the the first planet Zeffo. It's in the middle of the map on the lower level. You need to use Force to push push over the bridge across to reach the home of the Jedi Master.
