First time finally surf fishing today and I was dodging surfers. Current was strong and hard to tell what was a bit or a crashing wave.

Do surfers taste good? I caught one while fishing at Ft. Ord, CA bback in the 80s. Ripped his leg open like a cheap novel. MPs were laughing when they called the wambulance. Hippy said he ws going to sue, but he got really quiet when they told hhim he was trespassing on a military installation and he could do 10 to life in a federal installation.

Dude that same thing happened to me. Hook a whiting and he just locked up I couldn't pull shit for about 15 sec

Grew up fishing the gulf. Next time try using spider weights or Sputnik weights. Should hold your bait in place, all depending on bait size

Make sure to get stainless ones. Copper legs tend to slip out more often.
