Here is a lifehack for ancient polish ritual of complaining: complain about weather (no matter, too warm, too cold, too dry, too rainy, air pressure too high, air pressure too low, whatever). It's universal here. Real multitool in art of complaining. When British people have their small talks about weather,we complain about weather.

"Lord, give us our daily bread," says the prayer. Before our grandparents cut a loaf of bread for the first time, they made the sign of the cross on it and when the slice fell, they kissed it. we don't do that, but the bread is still part of our soul and we recognize good bread by its smell

This is so accurate :) Just one more thing - we love to laugh. We love jokes, comedy movies, books (authors like Wiech, Grzesiuk), live comedy shows (like legendary duo Mr. Laskowik & Mr. Smoleń), comedy websites (like JoeMonster), also one-man-stand shows (a new trend in Poland). Even Polish version of "Shrek" was much more funny than English version, and it's native British guy's opinion. Polish people laugh a lot, so if you want to steal Polish person's heart, show some sense of humor. Don't sulk over a lil joke pointed at you, show that you can take a joke or two. Sense of humor is a must-have, a key element for us. Without solid amount of humor we wouldn't survive all this crazy wars and socialism.

well it's simple in Spanish TE AMO is a stronger phrase that not always but tends to be used in a romantic way (you don't necessarily tell your parents te amo, although it can be said and it's not WEIRD, but it's more unusual) Also saying TE AMO its like saying I LOVE YOU or Kocham Cię. you don't say it for quite a while because you must really have deep feelings before you say that....not even the first couple of month a dating a new person you'd say te amo. Te quiero is just your basic "I love you" with less strength and passion.

A very nice summary! As a Polish woman, I agree, we are indeed a little bit grumpy and are obsessive with our bread, but that's cause we are very proud of our cuisine :D I also think that Polish people expect our date to be resourceful, we like doing stuff on our own, learn new things, fix faults on our own (without looking for a specialist). This gives a feeling of self-sufficiency ;)

I totally agree with vitamins and jacket, because I often say those things to my boyfriend 😂 but I wouldn't say we don't express how much we love or how great our relationship is. We do!! Maybe it's not that often, but we definitely do. Great video, thanks 🤗-

Wow! That was well funny and am sure some people will find this helpful but like you said in your video it is a very general idea of who poles are/can be like. I’ve been in the uk for like 16 years and some of the English habits/ mannerisms has rubbed off on me a little 🤫😉 but still in my heart am very much Polish. Thanks for sharing your experience 😀🙏🏻

Married with a polish wife I agree with many of the above thesises. Polish people to me dont Show love with thousands of words but maybe with action: Helping ,exspecially inside the family (if you are married, including you) if there is a problem but less with verbal signs of love.
