I love my magnetic hoop also. Even if I have to use a bigger hoop than necessary, I use the magnetic hoop because I like it so much better than a regular hoop; Great product.

Why didn't DIME manufacturer the hoop with the ruler printed on? Seems ridiculous that I have to put on stickers. That's leaving room for user error. I think a grid should have been included as well like with the old school hoops.

Because not all machines have a true center in the exact middle of the hoop.

Please, could you show on a video how you hoop designs that fill the hoop, say on 8x 12 SHM with a design 7.75 x 11.70 and how you put the design together on the sticky paper when it prints on 2 sheets. Thank you !

have you found that the smaller hoops can cause issues with bobbin? like pulling it up as it passes over? if so, what can be done?

I love my hoops, I found that if I put some double sided tape on the metal and it hold the stabilizer firm and can be reused a number of times

First, I LOVE my Dime magnetic hoops. I love them for doing towels and quilting. I'm currently doing a project and want to quilt on the magnetic hoop (I have the 9.5 , 14 and a 5. x 7). The blocks are 9.5 x 9.5 square. I'm doing a raggedy quilt so want to quilt each block around the designs. Is there a way to use the 9.5 x 14 magnetic hoop? If so, how??? Thanks in advance.

The Monster hoop keeps triggering my machine to recalibrate. Every time I reshoot something. It takes 3-5 recalibration son my machine before it will stitch the design. I remove the top, reposition, try to start the stitch out, and get the recalibrate notification. 4-5 times. Sometimes, I can’t seem to get it to line up to load it. I’m wondering if there is a small burr in the fitting? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Where do I find the center marks my 200 x 200 magnetic hoop. I pulled up the file but the 200 x 200 not listed so I'm assuming it's dead center, but I don't want to be wrong.

I have an innovis 800 E . I am in Australia. I am looking at a dime magnetic 5x7 hoop but it doesn’t specifically say it’s compatible with my machine. I sent an email off To Dime but that stated that hadn’t tested it on that machine. I would appreciate any assistance before purchasing please

Hi I finally found the cross hair alignment.It won't let me put the link here but if you go the blog and put in this"How to Apply Centering Guides on Snap Hoop Monster"hopefully the page will come up.It is only for the 6 x 10 and 4 x4 hoop.There are also instruction's where to find it on the instruction sheet that came with your hoop.

I am having the same problem with the Janome 550 E. How do you get the machine to recognize these different sizes magnetic hoops when there are preprogrammed hoop sizes that come with these machines so I do not understand why they are saying they are compatible with these machines when some are clearly not. I paid a ton of money to get 4 different sizes hoops that said were compatible with the Janome 550E and the shipping was well over 200 dollars as I’m in Canada. Very disappointed this company does clearly not care to answer people’s concerns and problems they are having with the noncompatible hoop sizes they are saying are compatible!!!!!

We have three types of Hoop Guards: For Monster Hoops, Standard Hoops, and the Jumbo Hoop Guard for larger Monster Hoops. We would need to know specifically the one you have to further assist you.

Please can someone tell me how your magnetic hoops are all compatible with the Janome 550E?? My Janome machine hoop sizes are 5.5 x 5.5/ 5.5 x 7.9 / 7.9 x 7.9 / 7.9 x 14.2 SO HOW DOES YOUR 5x7 that you say is compatible work with the preprogrammed hoop sizes on my machine? I put the 5x7 on the machine and cannot get it centered. Also your downloadable crosshairs are so confusing there is a 6x6 for the JEF file and and 6x10 JEF crosshairs so I when no idea how these crosshairs apply to the magnetic hoop sizes. If someone could please clear up this that would be greatly appreciated. So disappointed!!!!

No you do not. If the correct size is selected then you should not encounter issues with the hoop.

I would like to know the same answer. So unbelievably confusing and youd think for the cost they charge for these hoops they would come with guides already on the hoops instead having to apply these ruler stickers. Will never order from here again.

My hubby bought me the 5x7 hoop for Christmas. I was the happiest girl until I attached it my machine. I double checked the 5x7 hoop and started stitching a 5x7 design and immediately broke a needle. I repeated the process 3x even using only stabilizer the 3rd time so I see exactly why my needles were breaking. The magnetic hoop is smaller then 5x7 area and my machine hoops are. I'm so disappointed. I put everything back in the box it came in and stuck it on the shelf. I haven't touched it since. I have a janome 500e and the box says it's for my janome 500e but it's not even close to the correct size. What a waste of money.

Hi Deanne I have the same problem and I am so mad!!!! They say the 5x7 hoop is compatible with the 550E and and they closest Janome hoop size to this is the RE20b 5.5x7.9….how does the magnetic hoop work with this? The machine doesn’t centre the hoop and I thought because it said it was compatible it would work somehow so I have wasted money as well and am so disappointed. Do not understand how this is suppose to work. And I see there is support here for people’s questions that have already spent their hard earned money and no support really.

@@netty3767 I just only just tried mine for the first time (arrived today) and EXACTLY the same problem. the crosshair is not even near the center of the hoop. so we loose a lot of space. I have a 550E as well... i wonder if I shouldn't send it back. Do you use it now? 2 months have passed since your message

For as expensive as these hoops are, I think the rulers should be on already. Just saying.

The centering guides are not used by all of those who own Snap Hoop Monsters, so its a preference.

100% agree. I don’t like the ruler. I’m still trying to decide if I like the hoop. Maybe with practice?
