Tiptoe Gets A BEAKICURE

Жыл бұрынWatch as I try to trim TipToe's beak for the first time ON MY OWN! I'll be attempting some fun little techniques from the vet to make sure this big boy is looking handsome. Will my 175lb tortoise make this process smooth and easy, or will I have to call for backup?

i know he was scared but tiptoe going into his shell and covering his head with his arms was the cutest thing i’ve ever seen ❤️

That is not a good way to trim Tiptoe's beak. I trim my tortoise beak with a foam nail file, slowly and gently. Works like a charm. Caitlin please stop trimming Tiptoe's beak like this. It's is dangerous and very uncomfortable for Tiptoe. Try the foam nail file and you will see the difference.

Greetings, I was wondering if you know if Tiptoe actually recognizes you or just comes to you due to you having food. I didn't know the intelligence level of a tortoise.....it would be interesting to know if you have ever found out.

What a star, I love the way he heads straight for the camera for his close up... it might be a daily process, so he gets used to the noise and the feeling of the file.

Once your team learned to stabilize the instrument hand on the head of the tortise you had a much greater chance of success. Also obtain some high quality carbide burs. Definitely fine cut. Consult your dentist.
