Retroluxe Please pass this information to Mr Krishnavel. 1. It is not new. Jains put up a case to claim not only Tirupati, some Dattatreya temple in Girnar as well. 2.They lost the case in Tirupati. Their claim is only the idol, not the temple. The suspicion is due to neighbouring Karnataka region was under Jain rule for long time. 3.They believed that the idol is Neminath- one of the thirthankara, believed to be lived during Krishna time. 4.The argument is that the idol is Neminatha and that's why the Tirupati Venkateswara idol is completely covered by ornaments and jewels. "Sanghu Chakkaram" are attached on the body of Neminath. 5.The judges taken them to the temple on one Friday during Abhisekham time to check without ornaments and clarified. 6.They lost the case. Moreover, the present Jain population is concentrated mainly in Guj, Rj and MP. Mostly Banias and a rich community. During the legal proceedings, it is clarified that Jain monuments are not destructed in Tamil Countries; are not replaced - example, in Kazhugumalai, Murugan temple is constructed in the same hill but in other place. One can find Jain Palli and Vettuvan Koil on one side and Kazhugasala moorthy in other place- all are rock cut temples. ASI was willing to offer for worship by Jains- few ascetics stayed in places like Chitraal, Kazhugumalai for three months and left. They told the present Jain's are swetambaras but the temples belong to Digambaraas. Research is not done properly by Mr Krishnavel and as usual hatred to Hinduism due to his DK association and pushing it to other religions. Note: I used to visit all Jain temples from Chitraal in TN to Hatheesingh temple of Dharmanath in Ahmedabad. Attended Jain marriages had Jain foods in Gujarat and Rajasthan. Incomplete research. Needs improvement.
