What a surprise treat! Titan Airways 767-300 substitute from London Gatwick to Sofia, Bulgaria for Thomson Airlines (ski charter) on Saturday 5th March 2016. PLEASE READ:
Having booked a last minute (and first) ski trip to Pamporovo, Bulgaria through Crystal Ski holidays we was booked on a Thomson 757 for the weekly charter to the Bulgarian capital. However, on arrival in Gatwick, I was astonished to find our plane had been substituted for this Titan 767! Excited was an understatement. Managed to grab good seats at check in just front of the wing!
Following boarding, we took our seats, and pushed back 35 minutes behind schedule from the North terminal. Following a relatively long taxi to runway to 26L, our Boeing 767 was finally ready to become airborne for the 3 hour flight to Eastern Europe.
After an incredible sounding takeoff, we quickly left Gatwick behind on a beautiful afternoon, first heading past Dover, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Northern Italy & Serbia before descending and landing into Sofia. We was greeted with a stunning sunset over Germany.
On this full flight I take you through the cabin, and show you some of the features on the in flight entertainment. Very good system - much better than I would expect for an aircraft of this age!
