Thank you for this video. I'd already bought this product but as a total SDS virgin, you removed the mystery surrounding this somewhat intimidating looking tool. I now feel more confident to start using it to erect some fence panels by attaching wooden posts to concrete posts. 👍

*Works as described , **MyBest.Tools** breaking out rock in my yard to install post for mailbox , fencing and trenches . We built the house on a high point that is mostly rock and this is a tool that helps for installing anything in this ground.*

Ive now bought 2 of these, the first time I needed two holes drilling into the side of the house to get power outside, once id done it I sold it for £40 including 3 extra drill bits I bought separately, 24 hours after I asked the buyer if I could buy it back and give him £10 on top, as I felt id made a mistake, he wouldnt as he needed it for work and only having drilled 2 holes he felt he got a good bargain....."no kidding!!". It is a brute and if you were looking for another sds+ with similar power 1500w and 8 joules of impact force, you'd need to spend around £1000. Ive now recently bought the 2nd one, even though I have no requirements for it, but like any tool, when you need it, its great if you have it to hand even if its family, friend or neighbour asking if you have one, as some people may have a drill, not too many have an SDS+. With the 22 bit pack, its £79.99 and well worth every penny. Yes it is heavy, but its a small price to pay for having a monster of an sds. Also if you are doing some demolition work, as this is capable of demo work, and if you need a longer chisel or spike, you can buy on amazon 600mm long chisel and spike bit so you dont have to bend over too much when trying to remove matter. I just bought the 3 bit set for £25 www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FW4299E/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Dont make the mistake of what many do, in that once you have an SDS+ drill, they cheap out on drill bits. There are reasons they are cheap, most are crap, but if you go for what is right, it will make your job so much easier, and you will have that drill bit for a long time, me personally will stick with Irwin and Bosch from now on, because they work very well and out performed everything I had. Irwin sds+ drill bits are incredible, im actually a DeWalt fan but the Irwins beat pretty much what there is. There is another video on here, where a guy tests a chinese cheap drill bit, DeWalt, Milwaukee and Irwin, on a commercial project, and the Irwin drill came out on top, even against the double priced Milwaukee. If you decide to use the standard drill chuck for normal type drill bits, then id say the bosch cyl-9 drill bits are hard to beat, I tested these against everything I have, and the bosch cyl-9 which are coloured blue beat everything I had, and they are multiconstruction so they are good on everything, they are a little bit more money, but seriously get a single one off ebay to try and pit it against the best one you have, like me you will buy the larger pack of them, I cannot rate them higher enough, I got two different packs and then bought various single ones going up to 14x250mm, simply because they killed every other drill bit I had to test them against. One guy on here took down a ww2 concrete bunker using one. I think for the price its worth getting those 600mm long bits, the chisel and spike, otherwise you would be bent over quite a bit. Another thing to try would be the 1000mm chisel, im still waiting on mine, and I did think if its too long, ill use a cutting disc to cut it down to the right length and then make it a spike. You dont want it too high if using it for that type of work, as it may be uncomfortable. The big mistake I made was selling the first, I can assure you of this, this puppy will be going no where, im glad to have one back again.

I bought one of these 10 years ago, for busting concrete. Still runs good as new after a shed load of abuse. Excellent for the £50 I paid!!

Hi, I have this drill hammer as well and I can say is very good, tough. Also an advantage is that, the presence of the speed regulator, which is really helpful. Near Titan, I have also purchased 2 x Mac Allister hammers, which are amazing. Cheers

Good review Frank, l bought the TITAN TTB653SDS last week think there just the same as this same power, rpm, joules Gotta say there just the best esp for £60 with 2 chisels, 5 masonry bits and a keyed chuck.

Good for using the bigger spade bits and l use mine for mixing Concrete l made a paddle with an old sds bit.

Bought one yesterday after your review, put it to work same day, had a gas fire removed and replaced with electric stove fire, had to drill from side of chimney breast through into fire hole so I could pass cable through, 60cm masonry drill (bought separately) this drill did the job in under a minute with ease, it is heavy but pretty comfortable to use with the grip, I paid £79.99 for the case and all the bits and pieces, thoroughly recommend.... thanks for review 👍🏻

Have had this drill for several months now, it replaces another Titan sds drill (next model down) that took several years of hard use drilling chiselling and core drilling, I can't complain, a decent drill at a low price.

Got one of these and it's brilliant. Only problem is closing the lid after use.

I'd not used an SDS drill before today and maybe this is a bit 'cart before the horse' because I'm watching this review after having already purchased the same drill and tile bit you show here. So pleased you didn't find it a lemon. The reason I bought it is because I'm stripping a dot and dabbed bathroom back to breeze block and having previously done a similar job manually in a smaller en-suite, I'd hoped the SDS would save an OAP like me a little time and lot of effort. As an SDS newbie I've concluded that once I'd got used to the weight of the thing, the Titan requires careful handling when chiselling off the cow pats with the flat chisel blade that came with the kit if I didn't want to create significant craters in the blocks, but once familiar with the operation of the tool, I found it made life a lot easier. As for the additional £25 tile bit, I think I'll return it unused as I can't see it letting me separate tile and plasterboard (as required by my local tip). Maybe fine for tiles and plaster applied directly to breeze or brick, but doesn't look much use for tiled plasterboard. Now for the big question; the info that came with the tile bit stated that the shaft needed greasing, but I see no such advice in the Titan user guide for the included bits, so do I bother greasing the bits that came with the tool or simply not bother?

Hello. I bought this recently. Took it back as it was too heavy . Can't really keep hold it for long periods of time. Also because of its bulky front not easy to get into tight spaces. Especially when u are on the roof !.

I bought one of these today intending to use it to drill some 38 mm weep holes with a diamond core bit at the base of a retaining wall, after seeing several videos on you tube of people using it for that purpose it seemed ideal. I was surprised to find however that when i opened the case, stuck to the front of the instruction book is a sticker saying that it should not be used for core drilling as it could cause serious injury. There are videos on you tube showing people using this drill to bore holes with diamond core bits of over 100 mm diameter with no problem. I will still use the drill for other things but if i had known it shouldn't be used for core drilling i think i would have bought a different drill. I noticed that in the comments there are people who have used it or intend to use it for core drilling. Do you have an opinion Frank, bearing in mind that the cores i want to drill are fairly small at 38 mm. Great video by the way

Hi do you think I can use this for a one off 150mm diameter cut for a kitchen hood duct? I know I should use a diamond core but it’s a breeze block single wall.

That's mine finally dead. ⚰️ It still runs, but the the little BB in the chuck that's supposed to move (allowing release of the bit) is stuck in the lock position. I can only use it for core cutting now, as that's the bit currently stuck in the chuck, but I almost never do any core cutting.

Hi, I bought this product & people keep going on about greasing it, what do you grease! Is it the gearbox or the bits, I can’t find any information anywhere & scared it’s going to seize up. If it’s the gearbox you’d think they’d make a massive point of saying DO NOT USE WITHOUT GREASE!!! or it will blow up in your face 🤷‍♂️

You should really mention that it needs lubrication after every 5 hours or so of use or else the hammer action will stop functioning.

You could have gave a demo.

It as a magnesium gear box, not the casing.

For SDS plus this thing is just heavy my Bosch SDS max hammer is as big as this one
