Will a 5mm spacer get these wheels viable on the Spyder? Yes, I think so. But, I think APEX may just be a little better at the fitment game...

I missed if these Titan's are wider than your stock wheels. I learned years ago that wider wheels means more rubber which may negate any weight savings from forged/lighter wheels. I'd like someone to compare the grip advantage vs. loss of performance due to more unsprung mass. A few track rats on a forum years ago commented larger tires are always better for performance, but I'm curious at some point could there be diminishing returns?

Probably would have been fairer to weigh the wheels but didn't take the opportunity to do so. Rubber went from 235/35/20 and 265/35/20 to 245/40/19 and 295/35/19. I just decided to capture the net unsprung change. Contact patch likely does have a critical mass. I will say, by virtue of the rubber moreso, that the confidence and grip is way better now. That is a real and material difference - and the primary one I sought.

@@DWraysGarage This is my plan next year to get an extra set of larger wheels and 200TW rubber for autocross. You mentioned Apex wheels. They have a really good guide on their site showing various wheel fitment for our cars, which is useful, but their wheels are very expensive. Ouch.

@@DC5Brandon They run group buys where you can score $300-500 off of a set. Their rotary forged wheels, as opposed to fully forged, such as the SM-10 I think it is, are price accessible and built for this kind of action. I auto-xed some SM-10s on my 987 and they held up amazingly - I ran 18s wrapped in BStone RE71Rs (I think they updated this tire now). They were also very easy to work with, friendly and their information is always 100% on-point, less so here on my T7 experience.
