Rewarp Bomb is a game changer. Not only is it good for "nah fuck that I'm outta here and I'm taking the homies", but it's also good for "nah fuck you, here's death on a golden platter!" strats. Alls I needs now is a Rewarp Staff.

I just finished chapter 7. I used up all my rewinds because the boss stack kept 1-rounding one of my units (im one of those that refuse to lose anyone). I saw how Macaiah worked with Obstruction, so i dont know why i didnt think the same about warp/rewarp, both of which I had. Would haved saved me all that rewind time.

I gave my Louis boots and then also changed him into a great knight later on. 8 move and up to 15 or something when engaged. Dirty stuff haha. Mine was by far my strongest unit with over 115 kills in my first playthrough.

You taught me a lot of stuff. I love your guides. Didn't know about the bottom idea as I don't have the staff yet currently just farming the Few areas in the flower. I'm playing hard mode and I'm trying to get everyone at least an even level before moving on

@@TitaniumLegman so the old school way of lvling is to get everyone to 20 then promote but I've seen some vids about promoting early, Whats your thoughts on that?
@TitaniumLegman
@TitaniumLegman Жыл бұрын
@@Sesshomarusfox The old school way no longer applies. I believe I speak on this in my somniel tips video, but the long and short of it is that, you used to be limited to 40 levels total; 20 unpromoted, 20 promoted. So you wanted to level to 20 to get as many Stat ups as possible before promoting. In Engage, you functionally have infinite levels since Second Seals allow you to reset your level to 1. So there's no point in waiting to promote, when you can promote at 10 and get the Stat bonus and level 5 promoted skill faster.

So, fun fact about that stage where the whole room rushed you: if you use Lyn's emblem attack to snipe the bosses instead of the healers, the boss will charge at you alone. you can lure them out one at a time for easy pickings that way.

SP correlate to Exp gain when using Emblem Ring no matter the Bond Level. So if u get 10Exp for an action you get 10 SP as long as u have an Emblem Ring. Now for bonded Rings that is cut in half no matter the level of the bonded Ring whether S, A, B, C. Only the Arena is where u don't get SP even if u gain Exp. Hope this helps. On my 3rd playthrough now trying out some new tactics. Oh also the DLC rings correlate to the game they are originally from and give some added benefits. Example: Tiki Emblem gives Extra life and 5 Res and Def when Engaged next to Marth and using Divine Blessing. The 3Houses Emblem gives another Action when Engaged next to Byleth after using Houses Unite. I proport that Hector DLC does smtn for Lyn or Roy. I hope this helps u guys with the SP grind and questions. So once u gain EXP u gain SP as long as u have a Ring on you. Bonded is half EXP for the SP and Emblem Rings is exact amount of EXP to SP

@@TitaniumLegman Let me just add as well as I did some more testing. So you can gain SP in the Arena but only using bonded Rings and not Emblem Rings since it appears Emblem Rings are training materials within the game code and thus does not count towards the farm. So if you want to gain SP on your unit using Arena Exp you need to Equip them with any bond ring, doesnt matter and you will gain half the EXP as SP. Just did a couple of test and it works 100% of the time. Also if your unit far out levels internally the other unit is faces in the Arena (Havent done enough testing to determine the Cap) you always get 15 EXP minimum per Arena battles. So Extrapolating the SP farm you can get a minimum of 7 SP thus a total minimum of 21 SP per Arena Engagement. Sorry for the rambling still doing more data mining but the above seems to be solid. You can test it if you like just use bond rings when Arena levelling instead of Emblem Rings in the Arena to get SP from Arena.

You see, I read Micaiahs skills, and I read the fine print but my brained automatically nerfed it in my head because I was like, "aint no way it does what I think it just read". I now have serious fomo from the chapters I originally had her in. I'm at the part where her Ring is stolen now.

*Upon further testing, I discovered that my conclusion here was simply an error. I made a mistake, exp growth does not appear to be affected by promotion.* "I hear some of you old heads in the back saying you lose exp gains once your promoted, but that no longer appears to be the case." This is easy enough to test. Enter a skirmish with an unpromoted unit level 10 or higher. Enter a skirmish, attack an enemy, observe how much experience they gain. Reload the game, promote the unit, attack the same enemy, and observe how much exp they gain. Guess what? The promoted unit gains less experience. I tried this with a level 11 Alear, and gained 11 and 6 exp respectively. The exp system may have been tinkered with a bit, but the broad concepts that applied in the past still apply. And no, I'm not advocating for holding off on promotion as late as possible. Doing that results in a harder mid game, easier late game, while promoting early results in an easier mid game, harder late game. Ideally, you want to do whatever minimizes peak difficulty, which has historically been promoting on the earlier side given how the difficulty curves have worked in the past. Although Engage seems to encourage early promotions for a different reason: the mid game pre-promotes are generally just really good and outclass your early game units, so investing too much in their long term growth is kind of a waste aside from a select few units.

Interesting. I just did the same test, and it confirmed my previous statement. I took a level 16 Timerra into a skirmish and attacked an enemy. She gained 6 EXP. The enemy was a promoted mage knight of a higher level than her, for context. I then reloaded, promoted, and attacked the same enemy again. 6 exp. That lines up with my previous experience that led me to make this particular point, so I'm not sure what the discrepancy is.
@plentyofpaper
@plentyofpaper Жыл бұрын
@@TitaniumLegman You know, it's a weird thing. I'll swear I did the test and got those results before. However,, when I sat down to see if I could crack the exp formula, my experience matched up with yours. I'm not quite sure what was up, but I can only assume I made some kind of mistake the first time, and ultimately, you are correct about early promotion. The only downsides I can think of are you would need to buy a second seal earlier once you hit the promotion level cap (a trivial cost) and you lose the between level exp you may have had when you use the master seal (level 11, 99 exp makes 99 exp disappear.) Neither cost is significant, and the latter can be mostly eliminated by smart use of the arena.

The main character is so ridiculously strong. The speed growth is so broken. They can pretty much handle half the enemies in a given battle because they're like impossible to hit. Louie is my other front line guy. The man's strength is unreal.

Spoilers I love how player phase focused this game is. For the amount of movement based staffs you get it makes this game so fun. Warp, rescue and rewrap. And when you use emblem byleth and the dancer. And it makes these movements easier when all of your units have canter. For the two chapters you mentioned their both defeat boss so when they started moving I ended the chapter asap.
