From what I've seen, Ngapeth from the France team was one of the first to debut the back row trick set nationally. After that, Japan began using it as well. Idk if Ngapeth invented it, but he also invented the windmill spike. He's truly a genius player.

The one where a player did an overhand receive (which was kind of a toss rly) and another player was about to spike it only for him to fake out the block and toss it to the guy who was actually gonna spike? (Ima just call it a “Double Toss”) Yeah, pure genius

it's a definitely close to minus, but a key difference is that the spiker had time to adjust to the toss instead of the hinata/kageyama quick which is the other way around

I don't get the dive where you lay your hand flat . . . The ball will always touch part of the ground based on physics and the ball flatten slightly around your hand, why does this count?

Well it doesnt touch the ground, only the curve of the ball touches hand, so no problem
