Before i've even watched the video i'd just like to say how happy I am to see you streaming again Simon. You have been missed. Your honest reactions to your wins and losses is refreshingly real in a, seemingly, more homogenous world . Okay i'll start watching the video now...i'm ready for 'passion' .

Simon, I doubt you'll ever see this, but I want to personally thank you for getting me into chess. The 1st chess video I ever watched was Weird and Wacky openings with the Ginger GM. My first opening video was in the Evans Gambit by you. First 2 chess books I ever bought were the Killer Dutch ebook and the Attacking French. After you said that every chess player had to try the kings gambit, I started playing that. I play 2.Be2 against the Sicilian because of your game in the British Championships. It is my most successful opening by win percentage. I was there for all the drunken streams, the lessons with Bjorn, the late night blitz sessions where you left the camera off because you were obviously just back from the pub. People will think I'm joking, but of all the celebrities, athletes, and famous personalities in the world, the number one person I'd like to meet is the One, the Only, the Dutch GOAT, GINGER FREAKING GM! Keep in rolling, we'll be here to watch!

I don't know if you will be able to read this comment Simon but if you do hope this helps: game review is almost instant because it's done on depth 15 or so, the arrows are drawn and all that. On analysis, you can set the depth for yourself in the settings but even at depth 20, which I think is the default, evaluation of the moves can change rather significantly in more complicated positions. P.S. To make the computer "less stupid" you can just increase the depth, up to 25 or so really doesn't take long.

I bought a bundle of courses from the GingerGM in which the Dutch was included. Truth be told, the Dutch is bloody complicated but if you stick with it, it's well worth it. Unless you're playing some super GM bastard (and let's face it, we're not going to be) you'll give very strong players a headache. Keep up the good work Simon!!

I enjoy your stream. Hope to see it back to a more "You're regular programming", but do understand that life gets in the way sometimes. Still, if you just want to have some fun, maybe hit the next Titled Tues. that you participate in (and post) with a bunch of King's Gambits as White (well, if they replay e5 of course), but you could "keep to the theme (if f4 counts as a theme, of course)" against the Sicilian with a Grand Prix type game? Just have some fun, because when you do, win or lose, we all enjoy (and learn from) your games.

I'm just an amateur, so at 27:05 I thought, after black's Bg4, white could try a tactical diversion with d6, forcing black's queen to move, then shift the Bishop to e4, followed by Qd3 freeing the N to move or take on d4. Hard to visualise, but maybe worth a try in a bad situation!
