Asa Hoffmann was born in 1943, just like Bobby Fischer and was indeed a mate of Fischer, having beaten him in a very famous blitz game!

One of the best chess videos on KZfaq. Some wild, edge of the seat chess - I can't remember ever seeing a more exciting sequence of games - but right in the thick of the live action, Simon keeps up a wonderfully instructive and insightful commentary on the play as it unfolds - with occasional asides on whisky and a number of other matters. He is one of the best teachers in chess - Simon is a phenomenon and a national treasure. Entertaining, hilarious and instructive. Brilliant.
