@@UltrabaumatOmega intersting try. And after Qxa8 Bxe3 might still keep the game going. But after Bd4 Ne7 Qxe7 Qxd4 i see no defense against Qh8#. Only try is f6 Bc4 Rf7 Qh4

At 35:10 I think Nf6 followed by g3 is a very good approach opening up queen to e4 pawn and freeing g4 square for knight

What would have happened after bishop D4 instead of resigning after the queen move in the last game? King has escape square so it would work for her,, wouldn't it? Best videos keep it up Simon!!!

Rating going up and down like a roller coaster in blitz is fairly normal for me. Just had a new high and whoop down we go. Now trying to limit the drop.

Your bet on Duda at 15s stands a far better chance than Ding at any odds imo. Ding is a great player, but crumbles under extreme pressure, is my sense. Seems like a pretty open Candidates, meaning a punt on players at longer odds like Duda or Rapport might pay dividends.

Hey Simon! I've wrote this before, there's a way to set so that new games will pop up. Ask someone to help You so that You don't miss a game running unbeknownst in the background while you're still in analysis mode ;)

Maybe ...d5 at 4:18...got a few ideas here 2. exd5 Rxd5! 3. Nb4 Rb5!? 4. Na6?? Rxg5 or 4. a5 Rxb6. If you ignore it and move the knight, well Nb4?? a3! But I don't really know what to do against Ne5 instead...yet I feel it is the best continuation...🤣 You see, this is why I'm not a GM and only a 2200 elo player. All that I know is all hell is going to break loose...I kind of like the idea of ruining my king side as long as blacks is also ruined in Bishops of opposite coloured endgame...but it is probably not great.

At 1.55, Qd5 surely looks and feels terrific, but after Bxc3+, it seems to me that White's win is not quite as spectacular.

after Bxc3+ even black can take the queen and I think black will survive the attack and is winning

@@UltrabaumatOmega Well, there would still be Ne7+ after White captures the Bishop with the pawn (I suppose) and Black has to take the Queen on d5, but the winning endgame, a piece up for White with massive advantage, as it seems, will not be quite as smoking sexy as Simon would have wished!

Dude if you work out and take creatine I noticed my rating will get close to 2000. Creatine helps the brain make extra atp.....of course ask a doctor before use.
