I play the 2021 T100S. They are amazing. T150 replaced them. Don’t worry, you made the right call.

What shaft did you get fit for? My swing speed is 92 mph avg and got fitted for the Project X 6.0 shafts in my T150.

Hi Ric, yes they would be. Maybe slightly closer but you can see even from 97 down to 80 the difference in these clubs is the same.....but for even lower swing speed you would probably want more loft than these 2 clubs to get more height (again delivery dependant!) 👍

@@epgolfstudios thanks. I currently use Callaway XR game improvement irons with Recoil 660 reg graphite shafts. I hit the ball high and have a pretty good decent angle. My ball striking has improved a lot since buying these clubs and would like to get something with less offset, get a little more distance and have a more compact head. Current 7i is 30.5 degree of loft.

@@PhilipApex Still not a fan…I’ve actually experimented with using the 5/6 iron from my MP223s and like those with the T150s better for now…haven’t been able to play much on real turf though so sample size is limited.

@@PhilipApex not really…I probably should have just bought the set with them…but since you only test a set with a 7 iron, you need to make the call at that point…based on my numbers, I’d likely see a drop off in distance/ball speed at the 5/6 iron, even hitting them well, so that’s why we went with the T200 in the set that I’ve now swapped with the MP223….

So how did both clubs perform in grass?

Thanks bud! And god knows, my best round would have been many many years ago now. I was never very good on course though in all honesty. Around level par it would be. Think I may have shot under once, a very long time ago! Put me out on the course and I'd probably shoot somewhere around 4-6 over I'd guess. Maybe a bit more depending on how wayward my driver was 😂😂

Glad you still like them mate 👍 and yes they absolutely are suitable for a combo set and yes for a lot of golfers I would see a benefit from a launch and forgiveness perspective 👍

No worries Sean, thanks for watching! And yes making the T200s 1* weaker would increase launch and spin but only marginally. Maybe talking roughly 0.5* launch and 100-200 revs of spin

@@epgolfstudios Cheers Ross. I had a fitting recently and there wasn’t too much difference in the results between both of these irons when I tried them. The T150’s like your results, spun marginally more for me and felt better. I’m a 6 handicapper but the weakest part of my game is low launch and low spin ball striking. As the T200’s appeared to be a bit more forgiving, I’ve elected to go with a T200 set (5i-gw) with 1 degree weaker loft, 1 degree flat and with the AMT red shaft. All these components are translating to higher launch, higher spinning shots with a bit more forgiveness. As I mentioned, the T150’s feel a bit better but the T200’s gives me that little bit more confidence over the ball and that is something that I prioritise highly.

@@nicelad_ Don't know if you've made a decision or purchased either set. You should go and get professionally fit. They can work with you to try several different shaft options that will dramatically change the launch and spin characteristics.

Hey John, yes absolutely I generally advocate more loft than less loft especially for Slower Swing speed players. But again it does depend on how you deliver the club so always get fitted of course. That's great to hear you are getting fitter and stronger and losing weight 💪💪 however if you are just consistently missing left when you try and swing a little faster I would almost guarantee this is just more of a you issue that a club issue. So maybe have a chat with a coach before shelling out loads of money on new clubs. But one of my go to's is generally the Taylormade P770. Nice traditional lofts and then spin well which is great for Slower Swing speeds but also the hollow head give a great amount of foregiveness 👌👌

Judging on this test they were virtually the same! I don't think there would be anything in it tbh. Could always combo and add loft to get the desired peak height paired with the right ball could be an all round fantastic performing set

T200 is a but clicky tbf but the 100s feel as good as anything imo

Hey MrWubz! Yeah I mean speed is only a small part of a much larger picture. As you mention if you are spinning it that high with that swing speed there is definitely something within your delivery that is causing that. Again without seeing your exact numbers I can't say, but at a guess, you are either quite steep (very downward angle of attack) or you path is out to in and face generally a bit too open to the path which even with a good strike is not massively efficient and creates a lot of spin, both cause a big loss in distance. Or possibly just deliver way too much loft at impact again doing a similar thing. Also other variables like what balls you were using, that makes a big difference. Was it GC Quad or Trackman? Ect ect. Lots of variables ....

@@epgolfstudios trackman and yea my angle of attack was around 5.5*-6* and my path was 0.1* +- 0.2* with the face slightly open so a small push.
