This is an incredible video. Thank you for making it. This is a huge help. Call me weird, but I think its crazy that people have to go through these processes just to make a function of their phone actually work for them. An average consumer would never go through these steps. And I don't like to support a company that does this, so I'm returning my watch today. This video helped me make that decision.

@@XDA-Dante63 I've been excited about the bp on the watch for years because I have a heart condition, but after about a month of having to try different ways to get it to work, I decided its totally not worth the stress and philosophically speaking, its hard to own something by a company that I feel has mislead the public. I appreciate your hard work on this. Its clear you care and have a passion for helping people with similar issues to me. Even after having figured it out, I just keep looking down at my wrist and saying 'f"%king thing'

@@XDA-Dante63 Hi Dante.....Krishna here. I got myself the HK version of the Galaxy S20 Ultra and tried to do the right thing by pairing it with my Galaxy Watch 3 45mm. The original SHM app opened up and said "Not available in your location". After multiple factory re-sets, I could not get a Samsung phone to work with a Samsung Watch in Singapore where the SHM feature is already supposed to be available. So, I tried your new steps. The Signed MOD installs on the Watch, shows up on the Apps tray of the Wear App on the phone. But it still does not work. "Open App on your phone" shows up on my watch. But when I do hit that button, the new App installed thru your process does not open at all. It is as if it didn't hear the watch ! Can you help please ?

@@XDA-Dante63 The original pair of phone and watch apps the watch downloaded automatically during set-up also did not work. I therefore followed your steps hoping to get a pair that is not country-locked. Now, the SHM on the watch installed and also opened saying "Open app on Phone" and the phone refused to oblige. Perhaps I now also need a compatible phone app. Is there a way to get that also Dante to make them work together ? I admire your dedication. Shocking that Samsung does not care as much.

For those who may be wondering, I installed using Option 1. Tizen studio worked perfectly for me, I just had to get JDK-15 then never had an issue.

Wonderful guide! Finally got the ECG on my Pixel 6. Tizen Studio Device Manager did not start for me, but could manage to do everything with the Remote Device Manager in Tizen Studio and install option 3.

@@idrisssoumbounou9875 you have disabled firewall, antivirus? You have enabled debugging and developer mode on your watch? You are connected to the same wifi your pc connected to, wifi set to always and Bluetooth off? You are using the default port in the remote manager? If all yes, restart your pc and watch and try again...

@@XDA-Dante63 🤔 Hi again dear all conditions are met I've made the restart but popping up an error And reasons mentioned : -"this device is already connected by another one" -"this remote device is running on a non-standard port" -"there is no IP address, please check the physical connection" However no port is connected to the pc nor the watch does! The IP address is well shown on the watch! Now I have no idea of a non-standard port?! Do have any clue.?.? Thanks again

how do you install the phone app? After I send the APK to my phone it says installed and pushes it to the watch, but I don't see the app on my phone anywhere. Also there are 2 versions of SMH on the watch now. I can tell them apart because the enabled one has 2 beats in the logo instead of 1

Thanks a lot for this excellent work and clear instructions! It works perfectly. I'd just like to share an issue I faced while trying to connect the watch with tizen studio device manager at first attempts. It actually did not succeed in connecting because the WIFI frequency band of the watch and the router was not the same, my router was set on 5GHz whereas the watch on 2.4GHz. I changed it to 2.4GHz and it connected successfully. If it Can be of help.,,,😉

Hi! Thanks to your awesome guide, I've successfully installed ECG & BP on my Oppo smartphone. If I change my smartphone to another while keeping the same watch, do I have to go through the same process again ? (I saved my installer APKs) Thanks for your help!

Changing phones will reset the watch but shouldn't change DUID, so you should be able to push it again using same installer apk since reset will remove the mod

@@LuizCarlos-gw2xc review all the steps again that you will be able to do. It must have been some detail you overlooked. I just did it again from the beginning and it worked, as my galaxy watch active2 reset itself.

Not sure about Tizen but I'll try... Although I have a feeling it won't work because my tizen watch CSC is set to UAE, which means I can only add UAE banks and cards 🤷🏻♂️

@@adhityaraina if you're talking about the ecg and BP installers, those are mice, created back in December 2020, I decided to remove them and change things because it's better to use something new than something outdated... If it's something else, then tell me when you know...

Those are the apk files i guess it was yours because when i was installing the SHM the rename of the app contain words like "non root restrictions country" like this. So i hope it will not conflict the setup which u have shown above.

@@adhityaraina for the watch, I recommend you uninstall them because keeping them means you'll have 2 (possibly 3 with the original SHM if you have it) ECGs and BPs ... You can try, it might get installed, and if it does, It's up to you in the end really whether to uninstall the others or keep them...

Hello EvilDante63 - Thank you much for all the effort put in to simplify the concept of enabling BP and ECG on SW3. Appreciate your help. I had a doubt. When we install bp and ecg on the watch using the Fit2Installer Or Tizen Studio, we will still need the SHM app for non samsung android phones too., so, how do I go about doing that? I mean if I don't want to use the 3rd method (ApkEasyTool)..., then is there a way to install the SHM apk on the phone separately? Whr can i find the apk and will it sync with ECG and BP apps on the watch?? Thank You!!

Trying to understand the question... So you will install the phone mod on your phone then you'll install the mod on your watch using either Tizen Studio or Fit2Installer and you don't want to use apkeasytool, you have 3 installation methods, choose one of them that you like, not all of them, is that what you were asking?

Easy guide. Just take your time and follow the instructions. Such as where to even place files. Everything you need including all the files in one place. Works perfectly and doesn't void your warranty. I tried another method that updated firmware and it bricked a watch.

Hi dante. Whats the different between the .apk u mentioned at 1:04 and the whole process of the video? Is this video only for those without galaxy phone (i.e other anrdoid phone).

That's the phone app, SHM MOD which has no restrictions at all, it can be used on any device and at any region having both BP & ECG unlocked

First, thanks for this great tutorial. Second, I have a problem with ECG, my watch says, i need to put my finger (not press) on the upper button, but nothing happenes. I didnt receive any errors during the beginning but have a little confusion here. Any ideas?

There might be some dirt or dust on the ECG probe (the button)... so turn off the watch, wash it under baby warm water and press that button to remove any dirt, dust or oil... then dry it with tissue and leave it aside for half hour at least to dry even more on its own... Give it a try again... if you still have issues, then it's a hardware issue and the ECG probe is damaged... Hopefully it's not, hopefully a good gentle wash would solve it...

No because watch3 and previous models have Tizen operating system, not Android...

Went through all the steps successfully and phone sows: "No compatible watch found". I have Active Watch 2 and installed the Phone Mod file from the Google Drive you put in this new post. Any ideas?

Ensure the phone and watch are connected through Bluetooth... Open SHM MOD of the watch (ecg or bp), do the same for the phone... they should see each other now...

Hello after last firmware update Active 2 at the end of 2021 not play KZfaq video clips.I heard also the problem exist in a Watch 3.An error occurred.Please try again later.With older firmware KZfaq worked very nice.It have any solution to play KZfaq videos normally ? The new Tizen Studio cert manager is different to the one in video and its not asking to sign in. There are two folder author and distributor and the names of the certificates are different. The number of certificate files is not 10 and even if I rename the author.p12 and distributor.p12 and paste in the cert folder, it says invalid file or password. Please help.

Make sure you are creating Samsung certificates and not tizen...

Thanks alot man. I followed it and it worked. I was not able to open device manager but connected the watch with remote device connection and after signing the app with certificates, installed the app with fitinstaller second option. Initially it gave me smd version error but then i copied the version from tizen studio tool folder located in c: drive tizen installation folder and replaced it with the one in fit installer folder, and after that it worked. Just one question, is it totally safe from the security perspective to install the mod phone app in mobile?

It's safe and you can always decompile the mod and original and compare them to see the changes, I already listed what I have done, which is basically removing restrictions from SHM and making it work

Hi I cant comment on the xda forums thread. first off, great work on this. I followed your instructions religiously and I hit an issue where when i install the recompiled apk, the phone app is not showing on my phone. I can send you screenshot but not sure how. The app on the watch already shows blood pressure and ECG but when i press download app, im getting an error that its not available in our region.

Install the phone shm mod, turn off play protect if it's on and if you have antivirus as well, play protect removes apps that are outside PlayStore and antivirus tens to mess up the signature... You can reach me on reddit, instagram, and telegram as well

I was able to get the modded app onto the phone, but the phone app says need galaxy watch 4 or greater so I still can't use it, Am I missing something for Galaxy 3 watch?

Yeah, you install WearOS MOD, uninstall that and install Tizen MOD

Great tutorial. It allowed me to get the ECG back on my watch, but the SHM app will not work on my Pixel 6, so still can't use it. Don't know if there is any hope for the pixel, but if there is, I would love to be pointed in the correct direction. Thanks!

@@XDA-Dante63 Thanks for the reply. I have the SHM app on my watch - it opens and says to install the app on the phone. It takes you to the Galaxy store, but it cannot be downloaded. I then downloaded all 3 versions you have in google drive and installed them one by one and tested - it opens up an initial "accept" page, but as soon as you click accept, it closes the app. Am I doing something wrong? I appreciate the responses! Edit: I will note that I do still have the other Samsung Health app installed on the phone - the one with the blue/green icon with the silhouette of the female running. I also have installed / uninstalled the 3 versions of SH Monitor you posted, which come with the orange/purple heartbeat icon. @@XDA-Dante63 This is also my issue. I've been able to install the wearable app, but it won't let me take any measurements without installing Samsung Health Monitor app on my phone. I've confirmed and done the process a few times and know I've done it correctly. Not sure what to do... I'm also running on a Pixel 6 Pro

Ah, I needed to install the phone apk on the root of the google drive link. I'm not sure that was in the tutorial. Working now.

Tizen-studio is always buggy, not sure why Samsung wouldn't just fix things... as for the login, I'm not sure, it could be Samsung servers and it could be that Tizen-studio has issues on your device, try using a different computer or install a virtual machine, it might work...

I get a message on the Samsung Health Monitor App on my phone 'No Compatible watch found.... you need a Galaxy Watch 3 model that was released in a country where this feature has been approved'. On my watch it says 'open phone app' under those features. I've tried both the first and second methods

Nevermind, just had to connect the devices with Bluetooth again. Although it doesn't seem to do the readings for the watch with the rougher buttons. In the about section it's the Galaxy Watch (3E47)

Only if you have tizen apps (.tpk or .wgt) Don't confuse yourself with .apk, that's only for Android and WearOS, not Tizen OS...

In order to use BP and ECG feature, you'll need to be connected to your phone, so install Tizen shm mod on your phone and it will work...

Shm installer will only push the wgt/tpk to your tizen watch, that's all, if you uninstall it, it will uninstall the shm from your watch, I'm using Samsung default tpk/wgt installer... So to use the watch shm after you have installed it, you'd install the phone shm mod...

Watch4 in Samsung WearOS is dependent on Google Services (gms), iOS doesn't have Google services, thus, it is what they said on the website, Samsung was competing with Apple in watches and now no more as from watch4 and onwards, these watches will never work on any iOS device

@@XDA-Dante63 sorry I was trigger happy. I missed a crucial step the phone app APK install to the phone. So after I installed to the watch it always called the factory Health app. Now it's working fine. Interesting the original health app I can not remove from the watch so it's now duplicated. Anyway small price and I'm happy it's working. Thanks for everything and even for getting back to me. Much appreciated.

First of all thank you for your great efforts on making SHM work. Something Samsung should have done from beginning. Since we cannot make certificates ATM nor sign SHM widget I tried installing original SHM provided by you which resulted in error below: Fit2Installer: * The version of SDB client (2.3.0) is not same with that of SDB server (4.2.16). Samsung tizen studio sdb is running in background, it has a different version from the sdb inside Fit2Installer, open task manager and look for sdb.exe, kill it, run Fit2Installer again and you should be good to go As for the phone, if Samsung accessory service is busy, it won't transfer anything, restarting phone and watch might fix it

It still won't install - there's only one file in your package Original-SHM-1.1.0049.wgt which seems to be corrupt somehow (tried downloading multiple times from your gdrive just in case) - I'm always getting error cannot install - General error [-1] failed. On the other hand trying to install your unsigned mod would expectedly return unsigned error (Check certificate error [-12])

Hey Dante, I tried using 3rd method and it failed for me.. SHM app did not got installed on my galaxy active 2 watch... then i tried 1/2nd method and i faced issue in certificate creation as i get white screen while it asks to login to samsung account.. Could you help here.. Thanks

You can't install the app without signing it with a certificate (since you said you tried to install and later you said you can't create the certificate) One thing I could suggest is you google the source of the problem, why does it show you a white screen when you try to login, I am sure there are so many users that might've been in the same situation and fixed, if I face that issue however, I'd just delete tizen and reinstall it (since there is no Uninstaller), if that doesn't fix it, then I go and search about it... Hope this helped

You can push any tpk/wgt you can find to the watch, if it's unmodified, it will install, otherwise, sign it to install

I tried this. It worked long enough to let me calibrate the BP sensor. After that it would not work again.

No certificates found on the app, the app is not signed in Fit2Installer, you might have grabbed the files from sign me folder instead of install me or you grabbed it from install me but Fit2Installer showed errors you missed which needs to be addressed, no errors should be there
