We ramble in this one so its not for the faint at heart. Is the Jeep TJ the best looking of all the Jeeps made? How we bleed brakes. Also, how much weight did our Yokohama Geolander MT’s require to balance? #RubiKidd #jeeplife #jeeplifestyle #jeeptj

I too love the lines of a TJ, and I think its because they're the last Jeeps that don't look like they need to go on a diet. I drive mine every day, not because I like the looks, but because I love the way it feels. It is a little slice of off-road even when you're on-road.

Looks is 1st, simplicity of the mechanics and wiring is my 2nd favorite of the TJ

I'm new to jeeps. Only had my '05 for a little over 2 years now, so I'm biased towards TJ's, lol. Getting work done at the moment (Tub, fenders, paint,etc). The best way that I've heard it put was that "The TJ is still Basic". After that comfort, ride, etc made everything more complicated. First Jeep without leaf springs, last Jeep with the Straight 6.

Love my 2000 TJ Sahara. I live in West Texas off roading out here would leave me with cactus and Mesquite pin stripping on that glossy black paint job. I Raptor lined my TJ. It took care of that problem and i get so many comments on how great it looks. Took out all the carpet and Raptor line the inside of the tub as well. TJ ROCKS.

The TJ/TJU are the best Jeeps because they are the perfect size. Not Samurai tiny nor JK/JL huge. The factory had practice getting the body right with the YJ. They perfected it by getting rid of the ugly square headlights. IMO, both the TJ and TJU look goofy with no lift and small tires.

The square lights use to bother me but I’ve grown to accept them. Having a flat hood is what always catches my eyes on the yj☹

Btw I think you said LJ when you meant JL. LJ is the TJU. Anyway, it is the rounded plastic bumper and full plastic front fenders that make the JK/JL look plasticy IMO. The TJ/LJ still have a metal front flat fender that the plastic "fender guard" attaches to. So, it still gives that CJ vibe. Also, doesn't help that the JK/JL has a truly plastic grill. Sacrilege in my opinion.

Harley brings that up quite often about the fender on the TJ. and LJ being flat at the top. The grill being plastic doesn’t help either does it 😀

@wetjandcritters4199 if/when I get a newer Jeep, my OCD will be having me change those out to a metal option right away.
