Hey, thanks for the info. I had one that wasn’t working and I didn’t know how to troubleshoot it. Your video was very helpful!

Good video thanks. We have a sled that both sides are not heating up and the thumb warmer also isn’t working. The accessory fuse is good but the left side grip has a burn hole on the end so I can understand why that side isn’t working but don’t know why the other side isn’t. It’s a ski doo rev with similar wiring to yours and the grips are the one piece grip heated deals versus the wrapping the element around the bar then sliding grip over it.

Do you have voltage on both sides of the fuse?
@ricepadi296 жыл бұрын
No idea yet. Going to pick up a reader in the next couple days.

Ok. Check for source voltage on both sides of the fuse.

So on source voltage I saw approx 12 when rpms brought up on BOTH source feeds, not 8 like you said that would change depending on warmers being on high or low. I believe it's the resistance in the warmer itself that determines the heat. Maybe on high there is voltage at both and only on one on low??

Yes. That’s normal. The stator is limited on voltage at low rpms. It’s the same reason the headlights are dimmer until the RPMS increase.

Thank god for hand warmers !

Yes they’re awesome when they’re working. Lol

Jump to 2:35 if you want to get right to it. And isn't the sled power by 12 volt dc (direct current)? If so why is your multimeter set on ac (alternate current) 120\240 volt? Im so confused.
@StreetersGarage Жыл бұрын
Nope everything coming from the stator is AC unless it runs through a rectifier.

Whent on my first real ride today first thing I’m doing tomorrow is fixing these hand warmers😂
@StreetersGarage3 жыл бұрын
Yep, that's almost as important as having gas in the tank. :)

@@StreetersGarage not sure if i let it run long enough or not but I get power through the grips they just won’t warm up gonna try agian right now and see
