i don’t think carlos character would have considered that a date because of TK not knowing and it just being a “dinner” i think he’s talking about something else we didn’t see. maybe the bar? idk

@@girliefyi4471 I like how we are all psychoanalysing a character lol. For me Carlos was referring to the failed dinner where TK walked out. Carlos fell for TK almost straight away and in his mind it was a date (he texted, he cooked, he got dressed up, he set the table, he chilled the champagne) but couldn't really say that to TK because it would have scared him away (that happened anyway)- I mean why go out your way to cook a fancy meal if you are only want a hook up. It's kind of a Freudian slip here how the character Carlos actually really viewed that dinner as a date.

Carlos bottles up all his anger and keeps it to himself. TK on the other hand tends to lash out or shut down when he gets angry as we see when TK pushed Carlos when he thought he was accusing Owen of being a criminal.

Tbf, Carlos is always more hurt and utterly devastated than angry (which he is, to be sure) whenever he and TK are on the rocks. Dude is really such a cinnamon roll. 🥺🥹

Honestly, I think it's kind of messed up to make such a major financial decision without your partners knowledge or consent. Yeah it's sweet but also... not great. I get why TK was upset. The walking out on their relationship was a major overreaction tho lol.

@@tokoshie It was T.K. who fell in love with the loft and was majorly disappointed they didnt get it and it was T.K. who didnt have the money / credit. Carlos wanted to make T K happy, Carlos s life is about making TK happy. Even T K in his dream saied it was perfect and he paniced and blew it up. T.K s problem is when things are REALLY good it scares him but instead of talking about to Carlos he runs away or walks away, it s not that T.K. dosent want to be happy but he s scared being too happy will lead o that dam shoe to drop

@@robincoffman6723 Neither of those are good reasons to make a major financial decision without your partner's consent, especially when they have money issues. We know that Carlos did it because he's just trying to make TK happy, but that doesn't make it a smart thing to do. These guys really need to learn how to talk to each other. Maybe TK would have responded better if Carlos had discussed it with him first, we don't know. Obviously TK shouldn't have bailed either way tho.

It dose make me wonder something, I KNOW Alex cheat on T K and broke his heart but before that, was Alex mean to T K that T K freaks out because Carlos thinks to make him happy, treats him well etc????????????? There is a reason T K has a hard time having Carlos putting his happiness above his, was Alex abusive or put T K down, while Carlos is loving and wants to make T K happy, just have to ask

@@robincoffman6723 Idk, it's a possibility. We don't really know much about Alex at this point. Personally, I think TK has struggled a lot with feelings of powelessness and inadequacy. We saw him question his ability to make decisions about his own life at the end of season one, not to mention that Owen basically took over all decisions for him after his overdose. When Carlos bought the apartment without consulting TK, it might have brought back those feelings, especially since it was a direct result of TK's financial troubles. TK probably feels a lot of shame about his previous inability to take care of himself, his life, and his finances, so it felt like a blow when someone else (in this case Carlos) once again had to step in and "fix it". But like I said, we don't know much about Alex yet. It would definitely be interesting if the writers decided to go there this season.

He works for the State, first as a fire fighter, then paramedic, so all his hospital bills would be covered by the insurance that's a part of his contract. I believe that's how it works for police to.

Maybe Carlos needs to learn that he can't make decisions for the both of them and expect TK to just go along with it.

tbh I think he hasn't healed from what he went through with Alex in season 1

We found out in season 1 like the second episode...when he was arrested because of the bar brawl. Carlos processes him, it's right after that failed dinner attempt.
