I like it , but there is a problem. i would say most accident happen at the back of a vehicle. If and when another vehicle hit that from behind there will be no motor, are Drivers error when backing up. I think the motor should place the opposite. That would be very good.

Wouldn´t the driving be more fun if you could change gears and achieve even more speed at the same revs?

Since we’ve designed these systems to be able to provide enough torque and power to drive a bus or commercial vehicle over their full range of performance, there is no point for this. A public transit bus driven at speeds higher than 120 km/h would not be a very safe or fun experience for anyone. Our target was to have better acceleration than the diesel motors we replace and allow the vehicles to achieve the same top speeds. This is something we can achieve without any gear change! Even high performance electric cars, like the Tesla Model S, achieve very fast acceleration and high top speeds without multispeed gearboxes.
