Funny, the beyond suit being a failed experimental super suit reminds me of Robin creating the Red X costume, which in retrospect, is very similar to the Beyond suit.

I can already envision this story being adapted into the MCU. Think about it. Elektra’s MIA as of The Defenders. So, maybe the new Born Again series might be her opportunity to make a comeback.

I saw yesterday 1 of the most heavy hitting comics of this series. The turtles witnessed how 4 ancient merman creatures lost their last female team member. They fought for her since they thought the turtles wanted to hurt her (they wanted to help). When she died in April's arms, the 4 fish creatures silently retreated into the river with an air of defeat hanging over them. The 4 turtles were just standing and looking after them as they disappeared. They all knew the merman will go extinct now and what's worse, is that the turtles all realised how they are the same. They were just quietly standing there with existential dread hanging over them. April realised this too and when Casey got there, she asked him to hold her since she was shaken up. The contrast of a couple standing next to the brothers who will never fall in love or continue their species was such a stark and heavy hitting feeling that it burned itself into my head. 😖😢 Knowing how this feeling was always present in this series, this ending is even heavier than how it was before. Mikey must've been so relieved when he finally got to join his brothers. 😭🖤
