TNG Intake - The Trouble With Doors

Footage from TNG S02E02 "Where Silence has Lease" and S02E11 "Contagion" combined with an outtake
There's some confusion whether this qualifies as an intake. Let me clarify:
The footage of Patrick Stewart bumping into the door (including the thud sound) comes from the TNG Season 2 blooper reel.
The cutaway to Data's reaction was necessary, because otherwise the intake and the original door scene (in which Stewart stops before actually hitting the door) would have been back to back, resulting in a jumpcut.

You could watch this one without knowing at all and assume this is just one of those "Something weird is going on with the Enterprise" episodes lol.

It is a 'Something weird is going on with the Enterprise' episode. An Iconion virus is disrupting ship systems, and will destroy it unless Data convinces them to shut down and restart it. The Intake is Data's reaction from the outside of the door.

Getting a decent roof over your head. Great food in your belly. Completely free and terrific health care. Time off and great recreational facilities and can travel to distant planets for free, all the while you and your family is taken care of, there is no need to be paid. Minus having some spending money when you visit aliens who do charge for services and that is taken care of too. Not sure if a r/whoosh is coming or not, so I will just see my way ou-ch... Damn door!

Yeah, if I remember correctly (and I often don't) that did actually happen in the episode as the ship was suffering from unexplained malfunctions. 😕 The only thing I'm certain that didn't happen is the wooden sound (Starfleet doors are super-soundproof composite duratanium metapolyalloy) and Data's reaction.

In the episode, he notices it's not opening and stops in front of it, waiting to see if it opens. The blooper is him running into it. (Data's reaction was also added, a blooper from a different episode.)

It was the Yamato. At least they could have used the Wave Motion Gun on whatever was disrupting their systems (or obliterated the planet if they turned the power up too high).

you could have had a medley of the crew walking into doors or getting squished by them prematurely closing on them. I'm sure there was a lot of outtakes of that sort of thing.

It's a bit to subtle for me honestly, there is not much entertainment from this intake to be had. A bit to much intake for intakes sake.
