I hate Santa Slashers and Santa is Evil and all those other horror movies around Christmas who go for the easy out. "DUH, let's make Santa EVIL, DDUUUURRR!" Cute guys, so original and clever. It's not like there's a perfectly legitimate Evil version of Santa Claus that you could actually use. But hey, an evil Germanic demon just isn't as sensational as Santa murdering someone. It's so trendy to make Santa a demon or a monster or evil because it's like so counter-culture. Yeah believe in Santa, he's real, he's the embodiment of greed and authoritarian power and he's actually evil because of all the things in that Christmas Carol we can misconstrue as sinister. It's a fucking load of hipster bullshit. You want an evil Christmas horror icon? Krampus. Just stick with fucking Krampus. He works and you don't have to go the bullcrap route of making Santa evil that's been done to friggin death. You're not being hip, you're not being original and you're most certainly not saying anything meaningful about the Holiday or the icon himself. Making cute and cuddly nice things murderous psychos is not interesting, it's lazy and boring.

I don't remember if I actually saw this one? Is the Red fade out, after the red herring dies, actually in the movie? I know there was some fun experimentation, with horror movies, around this era. But what you should have been commenting on how weird it was when the chief detective was holding that girl's face by her cheats the whole time that he was telling her about that crazy Ralph guy who they found dead & how Ralph basically just got out of a mental institution. I mean that part was really weird. The whole time that the cheap is telling her about this Ralph guy the chief has he's hand cuffed around her face holding her jaw & talkin about this Ralph guy in this sick twisted weird voice. you know maybe you should review that movie again and just see how screwed up that part was.
