TO AVOID OR TO CROSS | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (June 23, 2024)

Today is the Twelfth Sunday in Ordinary Time; and in the gospel, we would hear the familiar story of Jesus calming the storm.
Jesus was asleep when a “violent squall came up and waves were breaking over the boat”; naturally, the disciples were so frightened that they woke Jesus up saying: “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” Jesus woke up, then “rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Quiet! Be still!’” Immediately “there was great calm.”
Friends, life has many distressing situations. Expect many storms also when you follow Jesus. What is our response? Avoid the difficulties or walk through them knowing that Jesus is with us even when he seems asleep. Will we accuse Jesus of indifference? Let us be open to God and his surprises. He is always with us.

Amen and amen Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. My total giving amounted to 40,000 dollars. Everyone thought I was delusional. Today I receive 85,000 dollars every two months. I have a property in Calabasas CA and travel alot. God has promoted me more than once and opened doors for me to live beyond my dreams. God kept to his promises to and for me.

Good day Cardinal Tagle. Just caught these words from a Holy Priest in Troon, in Scotland, from his reflection on the Jesus in the Holy Gospel and his recall of the less than positive effects of the Reformation in the Edinburgh Parliament . How incredibly consistently loving, in showing a way and always being with us! Great- even when its a hard hard journey! Please grant us Your continuing Love Lord, show us the way, heal our broken hearts even in Your wondrous Joy, Promise and Mercy . His words are: "He stills the storm to a whisper And all the whispers of the sea were hushed". As the disciples say: " Who is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?" How He even lives on today in the wondrous Gifts of His Holy Church, given from Heaven to us on earth, agreed? I hope to listen to your "Word Exposed" later- thank you. Amen Glory to God in the Highest level of Love forever ❤❤❤😁

The work commanded by the sower is to make the seeds grow. Abhorrently the said work is obscured by the quandary viz: to avoid or to cross.Another work that the sower commanded is to find favor with God so that nothing is impossible with God

It should always be borne in mind that every gospel is commandment to be observed by all baptized christians'.So what should be exposed are the commandments proclaimed in every gospel not the mysteries that can be created therein
