Now I know why my huge heart pendants with a back went all wonky! I thought it was just my usual death grip I put on things while working on them that caused them to look kind of collapsed. More so even after polishing them.

A nickel weighs 5 grams. That's the max weight I go for unless it's a special " Night on the Town " earrings. Those you put on right before you leave and take off as soon as you get back on the car.
