Hi Ryan, My SGC submission has returned and I’m very pleased with the results! The ‘74 Aaron graded a 8.5 and the ‘67 Aaron and ‘71 Aaron both graded a 7.5. Also, my ‘67 McCovey graded a 7, ‘80 McCovey graded a 8, and ‘81 Fleer McCovey graded a 8.5. Can’t wait until your ‘58 Mays returns in its tuxedo! Have a great night!

Hi Ryan, interesting video and beautiful Mays card! I commented on your last video a week or so ago. I just got back into the hobby in May and will be sending a few Hank Aaron and Willie McCovey cards to SGC soon. I would suggest cracking the case and submitting it to SGC especially since it sounds like you want it in a SGC holder anyway. The first card I purchased in May was a 1974 Topps Hank Aaron #1 “New All-Time Home Run King” in a BVG 8.5. Since then I also purchased a 1967 Topps Hank Aaron #250 and 1971 Topps Hank Aaron #400 (both cards were PSA 6s). Recently, I cracked all three cards out of their cases because I want them in SGC slabs (I LOVE the look). I’m hoping the ‘74 will grade at least a 7.5 (or higher if I’m lucky) and the ‘67 and ‘71 will both at least come back as SGC 6.5s (or 7s). Cracking the slabs was a risk I was willing to take to get them in better-looking SGC holders so I could enjoy the cards more. From this point forward I’m only going to purchase SGC slabs (I’m still learning what direction I want to take with collecting cards again). I’d be interested to see your result if you do crack the case and send it to SGC. Have a great weekend!
