Fun fact, the scene where Sanemi and Obanai chase down demons and accidentally see the infinity castle was an anime original scene and was definitely Ufotoble flexing their budget again. Also Tamayo getting invited into HQ happens much earlier than it does in the manga so I'm curious to why that is. Hyped for episode 2

Next episode or two look like they'll be Giyu focused. In the manga, Giyu's backstory was before they invited Tamayo. Imo this is a smart rearrangement considering what they wanna do this season.

Tanjiro's mark does dissappear, however he does have a scar on his head in the same place. In the manga, I believe it's said that he got it when he saved his younger brother from a scalding hot pot of tea falling on him. It's in the same location by pure coincidence.

They mentioned this in entertainment district arc in Tanjiro vs Daki fight, right before Tanjiro went bogus and had clot of blood in his eyes (when he was remembering the letter sent to him by Rengoku's dad in which he mentioned something like "the users who are capable of sun breathing have a kind of mark on their forehead by birth" but in case of Tanjiro he got it after getting burnt on his forehead while protecting younger sibling and due to the injuries and blood clot during final selection round of demon slayers, in looks somewhat similar to the mark which Yoriichi had which gave the PTSD to demons like Daki and Hanetengu's clones, in the fight with Hantengu's clones too his sword got red due to Nezuko's blood demon art. I think the point is Tanjiro was not supposed to be sun breather from birth like Yoriichi as he didn't have mark from birth and his sword didn't turn red naturally in the fight, but he was always destined to become one, by some other way, this is why his mark becomes more refined and just like that of Yoriichi when he exert more power than normal, like when cutting off Gyutaro's or Hantengu's and his clones' heads)

The guy who has said the names : Kamaboko Gonpachirou Shakariki Gengorou Itadaki Tontarou Anago Kanjirou Hamado Tangorou Amado Jangorou Monjirou Konpachiro Kentarou and Tontarou instead of Tanjirou and Monitsu for Zenitsu is trying to teach Nezuko his name. The mark on Tanjiro's head IS NOT a DEMON MARK. That is a scar he got when he was younger. Remember we learned last season that Tanjiro isn't actually the chosen one. Tanjiro mark isn't always active it has to be activated like everyone else. His demon mark is significantly larger in shape.

@@lollalofi3933 That was just a never explained issue in the show ¬¬ You dont pay attention becasue when Tanjiro was cutting Gyutaro's head, that was the first time the mark was shown in front of his scar. After in season 3 when tanjiro got the blade with nezuko blood the mark appear again. The marks come and go when they want, not as his forehead scar

you're right and wrong, yes it isn't the ds mark it's from a kettle but it is said that sun breathers are always predestined to have some sort of mark on their forehead his father had it too not sure how but he had the same one, the predestined burn scar definitely has a link to the actual demon slayer mark as it literally changed into what it is now and when the demon slayer mark activated, it doesnn't just cover the old scar it literally morphed into that meaning it's linnked

18:09 That’s just Tanjiro’s scar that he got during the Hand Demon Fight. It was smaller when the show first started, but he got injured during that fight, which caused it to grow into that size. The mark is a different circumstance all together.

I don't know how I feel about this 5 episode season. A part of me thinks it could have been added to last season after the swordsmith village saga. But then again I get animation takes time especially one on the quality of demon slayer. Hopefully we don't have to wait long for the next season
