Respect is earned, not demanded. Going to prison and doing drugs is abandonment. Acknowledging wrongdoing is the mother's only hope for a relationship. Cutting off toxic people is healthy. I am speaking from experience as a mother and grandmother.

My mom was a functional crack addict for most of my life. I don’t remember the year I knew but I remember my middle sister told me. I preferred to live with my grandparents so she took my two sisters and moved in the projects. Her house was raided a few times and she was kicked out and came back to stay with my grandparents. I came from school and there she was. All my things had been moved to a corner. Pretty soon I was kicked out my room and slept on my grandparents bedroom floor amongst the rats and roaches. At 1^ I was accepted to State for College and very rapidly got out. My mom died of a drug overdose. She kept a job, never lived on the street and never exploited us girls. This always surprises me.

That is a REAL man...God bless them...Beautiful outcome !

In the second story, the mom wasn't really trying to understand where her daughter was coming from and refused to hear her.Momma had every excuse for why her actions towards her daughter was justified 🙄

He found he's a father and a grandfather on the same day!!!❤❤❤❤ I went through what this girl went through only my stepfather since I was four was my abuser at 15 and it lasted until I was 18 or 19. My boyfriend of four years did for me at 31 what her father did for her at 10. He came in my life so unexpectedly when I was at my lowest. Sleeping on the floor at a friend's house after leaving another abusive relationship of five years, working my butt off to make my life work. I didn't have a car but he drove me to work everyday and would never let me pay him. We had the same friends so we were always around each other. One day driving me from work he told me that he thinks loves me, but I didn't think I was worthy cause of all the physical/sexual abuse I've suffered. Although he had a loving family, and a home on some acres, I would find him sleeping at the edge on my blankets on the floor with me. I didn't even think I deserved someone like him. After a year on the floor I saved enough to move out and he asked if we could start a life together. He put me in therapy and drove me to every session. He's helped gain so much confidence that I've been able to just be. I went back to school, became a CNA, cleaned up my credit, and in three years, I'll be a nurse. He's helped me realize that I can have a beautiful life and that I can accomplish anything. Almost five years later and his love is the fuel that lights all my fires. Dad & mom will NOT receive invites to the wedding. ❤😘

I am so glad I saw this episode. I was feeling down. Im in recovery from childhood trauma. It has been so tough trying to heal I have often felt hopless. This happy ending gave me hope and lifted my spirits.

"I'm Momma!" Your title doesn't give you respect. Respect gets respect back. Momma doesn't respect her daughter. She wants to not be held accountable for her actions because of who she is. She doesn't want a conversation, she wants to just drop it because of who she is. Daughter just wants to be told "I'm sorry for my actions and how they've affected you. I'm doing the work." She needs to continually take accountability, not just say okay on the show.
