Nancy got off the couch and wiped the special gel for ultrasound from her belly. The doctor smiled encouragingly at her, saying, "Well done! It's your first pregnancy and twins at once! Your man will be thrilled. He's a paramedic, right?"
"Yes, he's been in the field for three years. But I don't think this news will excite him," Nancy replied.
