During the 2016 World Championship of Public Speaking®, Josephine Lee won third place with a captivating story about friendship. Growing up, Josephine always had her best friend Jenna by her side, through thick-and-thin. But as time went on, the two started to go in separate directions. However, when Josephine needed Jenna the most, she was there. What does friendship mean to you?

This was Josephine's contest to win. Intro too long, ending too short. The rest was brilliant! Perfect timing, the green light came on as soon as she said "Warning lights." It would have been funnier if she stole Jenna's husband at the end.

One minute in and it's one of the most excruciating things I've ever tried to sit through. The exaggerated arm sweeps and the permanent smile just look so horrendously forced. Is this really what people want from public speakers? I'd take natural over obviously well-rehearsed any day. No idea what she said, because I couldn't watch.

I kid you not.. I have never seen this speech before, but I was able to predict her sentence within the first two mins at least twice and it wasn’t her themed phrase. That just goes to tell you how cliche this was.
