Yeah and a good job Toby did. As good as hank in my opinion but what can you say about a boy that sings about putting a boot up someone's ass? Songs are supposed to reflect life and not so much about generating revenue for a bunch of rich assholes with enough lawyers to screw you 10 ways to next Tuesday. Music is supposed to reflect real life and that is where the "soul" comes from. What we have now is making a bunch of assholes richer.

Hank Williams Jr. was one of my favorite country artists growing up. Hank, Waylon, Willie ... these three country boys were required in our home along with Oak Ridge Boys and CCR. Hank Williams Jr. is one of the very best and his music touches so many people. I can't believe 1.1k people disliked this song and the man. I was born and raised in NYC and in 1982 I had the great fortune of having military training in Texas. Well, Texas was definitely still Texas back then and that's when I was introduced to C&W and of course Mr. Hank Williams Jr.. I credit him with creating my love for country music and have never looked back. I left NYC for good and I know that Hank and his music definitely had a lot to do with that. His Dad was a pioneer in some of the music that he produced and the bloodline just continued in HW Jr.. Hank Jr. is one of the last (if not the last, along with Wille) "Great Ones" of country music that are still with us. His common sense and love of America and what it represented up until recent times makes people have love for this man. All of my children and young grandchildren love Hank Jr., Hank Sr. and all of the other greats. Their songs mean something and tell us stories that we can pass on down the line. I know he's proven himself many, many times over but a new song from Hank right about now would be awesome. Great video. Thank you for posting.

When he was just getting recognized, he was playing to a small crowd at Billy Bobs in Texas along with small bars all over the south. I know I was there. Blake Is also a country boy from my state of Oklahoma. But believe me , he is not Toby Keith country! Not even close. You used to see Toby all around Moore, Oklahoma spending time with his dad. He is a good ole boy and anyone who knows him will tell you that. Now Blake Shelton is a great country singer, but he is not a pure country singer. Toby will never sell out like Blake has. Now how about some “beer for your horses”. Anyone...anyone?

I saw Toby Keith perform in Mosul, Iraq. Just him and his guitar. It was great!

I've never been the biggest Toby Keith fan, but he was absolutely the right man to sing this song in this night. And he did it right.

Truly shows how epic and great Toby is to sing this song in front of the man who created it, and pulled it off as a masterpiece really. Just dang. You will always be my favorite Toby in country, hands down.

Toby Keith is from Oklahoma and has worked in the Oil fields before he became a well known country singer. Toby like Haggard sang is "a working man".

I've lived and done everything in this heart wrenching song. Now I'm stuck in the semi desert of Central Texas. Nothing here but stunted cedars and scorpions. Everything is fenced in. Nowhere to enjoy the outdoors. I'm so lost!; this song makes me so home sick, and I will never see it again. Grew up in the mountains, of Alabama, Not far for Hanks place. KnifeMaker

I hope that you can get back home. I would be miserable there too. Want to move to the mountains to get away from the heat and humidity. Small town, simple life. It still does exist.

Mike L oil field money ain’t worth being away from your roots. Leave that Permian basin and get back to the trees rivers lakes and bayous. I hated Texas! I’m a Louisiana boy and I could only take 6 months of Odessa.

I can still smell the old Johnson outboard motor on my uncle's little flat bottom boat, running trotlines when I was 5 or 6. Now 64, and it still brings me back. Man, I miss the south.!

Mike L feel bad for you. Can you move back here? I was thinking about it awhile ago. Our town is around 50,00 but kind of sprawling tow. We ave an east and west side for shopping and living and the country which is what my husband and I love. Land is getting scarcer to find but you can do it. But what i thought about is if you go to a store a man will hold the door open for me. People smile at each other. You let each other out in traffic if you see they have a long line ahead. The old farmers that drive their trucks still wave every single time you pass them. It's not perfect, the humidity here is really bad. I want to move to the mountains to get away from that. Already have visited the town and it is small and the economy isn't that great but it's like going back in time there. Such nice people and every couple we talked to who had moved there said the same thing. We downsized and live a little more frugally but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. My friend who lives there told me now some of them might not have any teeth left but they'll give you the shirt off of their back. And everybody will invite you to go to Church with them. Sounds great to me! I'm ready to go!

Wish we could. State took our land thru eminent domain. cost us our business. Wife diagnosed with incurable life threatening disease at age 43. Now 50. She is very lucky I guess. State made me here service provider. Pays nothing, Just means I am not allowed to work at my business at all. Not allowed to have much money in bank at all, or they take here insurance away, and she dies. GRRRRR!! So no funds for move. Had fantastic business. Made Custom Knives for over 45 years. Known world wide. All gone now. Sad. Family farm is above Ft Payne on Lookout Mt. I grew up in Gadsden. Born in Anniston. KnifeMaker
