When my son was a little bitty boy he loved Toby Keith. He's 22 now and still listens to all those old songs he loved back then. There's nothing like your 3 year old sitting in his stroller at a crowded outlet mall singing "You Ain't Much Fun Since I Quit Drinkin'." When he was 5 we took him to see Toby Keith (and Rascal Flatts) in concert. We are all big fans of Toby Keith. My favorite song is "God Love Her." Probably it's one of his least popular ones. The funny ones and patriotic ones seem to be more popular. Y'all can't go wrong with any of them.

Probably the best (IMO) Toby Keith video is "Beer for my Horses," which has an OG as a co-star and is basically a mini-movie. It's a great song too. Other Toby Keith songs are "I Wanna Talk About Me," "Wish I Didn't Know Now," "How Do You Like Me Now," and "Who's Your Daddy."

Like I said before, when MTV and CMT actually did the really radical thing and played music videos. "Stays In Mexico" is great. So is "You Shouldn't Kiss Me Like This" and "God Loves Her' which is sort of more serious.

The University of Oklahoma used to play a football game between the varsity and former players - many in, or veterans of, the NFL. TK was not a former player but had played defensive end on a semi-pro team, grew up at OU games, was pretty tight with all the coaches, etc., and has always been a big supporter of all things OU. Back in 1994 he talked his way onto the "former" team, promptly suffered a broken ankle that required surgery, and had to cancel play dates for about a month. He's still a big guy, but he also worked as a "roughneck" in the local oil fields. TK was great friends with OU basketball All-American, Olympic gold medalist, and long-time NBA player Wayman Tisdale. Wayman was heavy into jazz, and he and TK shared stages and often he'd use TK's bus for events. When Wayman suddenly passed from cancer, TK wrote a song that weekend and was asked to sing it at the funeral but wasn't able to get through it.
