Toby Turner, better known as Tobuscus, was once a shining star in the KZfaq universe. With his infectious energy, comedic sketches, and memorable songs, he captivated millions and became an icon of early internet culture. But behind the scenes, cracks began to form. Allegations of substance abuse, infidelity, and erratic behavior started to surface, leading to a dramatic fall from grace. In today’s documentary, we explore the meteoric rise and tragic downfall of one of KZfaq's OG legends. From the heights of his popularity to the depths of controversy, we delve into the key moments that transformed Tobuscus from a beloved creator into a figure of ridicule and mockery. This is the story behind the man who went from a beacon of early KZfaq creativity to a sobering example of the perils of online fame.

It's jarring and creepy for sure but also these people live in a completely different reality from most of us. This is shit a huge amount of them are into and once in awhile they'll piss off someone in the inner circle to take the risk of throwing that info out their and hope the target gets burned more than them. They're just a real life version of trash TV like Jersey Shore except they once provided some kind of value to others only to get caught up huffing their own shit and making bad decisions.

@donnyshark8680 unfortunately many women are taught from an early age that their safety means less than other people's discomfort. It's bad to "make people sad" (esp when it's men and/or the person they're in a relationship with) so even if youre uncomfortable, you have to make them happy! Otherwise youre just being a mean attention w-ore. It's something very difficult to unlearn and both of the girls trying to defend him obviously haven't unlearned that and shame other women for speaking out and "not consider his feelings ):"

@@ccfliege It's very funny that hecause of growing up in this system, and having been educated to love the system, you can't see the inherent abuse in it. Classic Coercion. There's no trickle down. You will never be a billionaire. The rich get richer, and 99 percent of poor people, continue to be abused and get poorer. The fact that society has reached the point where people point to hungry homeless people, and blame their situation on them not working hard enough. And even if you do work, you either work harder, or starve. If the 2 options are work, or starve, it's an inherently abusive relationship, with the entirety of the system. Have fun getting your millionaire bosses richer while they try and fuck you over at every turn, paying you less than the inflation rate, while producers of consumer goods decrease the quality of their products and engage in shrinkflation. Do what you will with the information. If you don't believe me, study the data. And even if you are in the minority of states who do take care of their people, this system is a zero sum game, so, every privilege that you would enjoy, comes from the exploitation of poorer groups of people in other countries, mostly the global south.

Its astonishing how the people defending him would list all these examples of him disrespecting boundaries and being abusive in different ways, only to go on to say "but he wouldn't disrespect THESE boundaries!" Like if you know him to be pushy, pressure people into things they arent comfortable with (even non-sexual situations), erratic and unstable, etc...is it THAT unbelievable that he would go as far to sexually assault someone and not take "no" for an answer? People assume rapists to be inhuman monsters, but the truth is that most of the time they seem to be just average people. Anyone is capable of evil things, and being in a position of power and influence just makes it that much easier to get away with.

After doing some searching I was able to find it- it was a livestream of him watching Sharknado with two other streamers, named Tim and Shira (?). While Shira was sitting next to Toby and laughing with him, he kept trying to kiss her the entire time, even after she told him no and pushed his face away. Since they were live and Shira was already uncomfortable, it's hard to tell if she was laughing out of nervousness and trying not to kill the vibe or genuinely laughing because of his behavior, but in light of the allegations at the time, it showed a concerning pattern of behavior that Toby had extreme difficulty taking a woman saying 'no' as an answer. The entire clip is nearly 15 minutes long and he continues to hold her, literally grabs her face and tries to force her to kiss him, and won't let her go the whole time. Growing up, Toby was sort of an idol to me. Watching his rise was exhilarating, having been his fan from middle school until college. As much as I didn't want to believe the allegations- I couldn't help but lean towards believing April, as someone who had grown up seeing what abusive relationships can do to people- this clip was the final nail in the coffin for me though. Just thought that piece of evidence was worth mentioning! Great vid as always man

Speaking as a survivor of CSA and former victim's advocate, it's time to stop saying "so-and-so had sex with me" and start calling it what is. It's (r)ape. It doesn't matter if you're in a relationship or even married to the individual. A romantic relationship does not count as automatic consent. And victims are not "dumb" or "stupid" for remaining in an abusive relationship. That's the cycle working as the abuser intended.

And the people that dismiss her claims blatantly without consideration seem to be blinded by their nostalgia, this is very plausibly true and Toby in my opinion at least hasn't done a good enough job refuting her claims. I used to love Tobuscus too, he was my childhood, but hearing this is genuinely horrifying and when it had happened, as a kid I wanted to instantly defend him. It makes me ill thinking about how remorseless he and everybody else is about their behavior.

Strong agree. As a long time follower of lolcows this falls far more into the category of "washed up e-celebrity". I'm even a bit uneasy calling people like Boogie and DSP a lolcow as they both make their living from online interactions even if those happen to be mostly negative. To me a lolcow is someone who lives a very messed up/depressing life by choice and doesn't even hit the level of being self sufficient without getting some kind of government/family hand out.
@ArmoredSoul1
@ArmoredSoul1 Ай бұрын
@@Unquestionable Pretty sure lolcow just generally means someone who is very foolish or stupid, and thus exploitable for entertainment, or milked for laughs, hence lolcow. I know a lot of lolcows have like executive function failures like CWC, but DSP's literal whole career is an anti-fan industry that cuts together clips mocking him, to the point he's more known for "this is how you don't play" and his antifan communities literally milked for laughs and mocked. Dunno enough about Boogie to say one way or another. But generally my only criteria is that they've developed a fanbase of people who exists to hate on them for amusement. I'd agree Toby maybe doesn't count because I don't think people watch him to poke fun at him, and it seems like most people are sad to see how far he's fallen.

The videos made in his defence really pissed me off. How can you sit there and confirm the shitty things he’s done, but then claim he’s not a shitty person? “Yeah, he’s a cheating sex obsessed drug addict, but he’s just a little fella who made some mistakes” Disgusting. Then to try and use April going back to him as a reason to dismiss her entire story??? Unfortunately, that’s how abusive relationships tend to work. You’re manipulated into thinking the person has changed and that they love you, so you go back only for them to abuse you again. It’s a vicious, toxic cycle that’s harder to break than people not involved think. I get it, it’s hard to accept that someone you know is a vile shit stain, but to immediately blame and dismiss the victims like that is unacceptable.

Back when I started college for the first time, a few of my friends were *really* into Tobuscus. I never liked him, thinking he was *really* irritating and not at all interesting. I remember hearing of his downfall and being horrified, but his recent transphobia is news to me. He has some fucking *nerve* to tell people he doesn't understand that "there's no need to change themselves". Years ago, I was a miserable customer service specialist who was stuck in call centers. After transitioning to female, I almost immediately got additional education in accounting and was able to change careers, make more friends, and be a much more confident and thriving person. Had I decided to not "change myself", I just might be as miserable as Toby clearly is today.

Toby’s “apology” for his stalking behavior toward his ex is extremely telling. He seems either unwilling or unable to acknowledge that his actions harmed others. It is unsurprising he turned to the right wing grifter sphere. I don’t think he’s going to ever change. My only hope is the public awareness of his behavior will make it more difficult for him to find new vulnerable people to potentially victimize.

After watching ‘Baby Reindeer’ it gave me a clearer perspective on victims and abusers and made me wonder, why do victims go back? Is it because it’s familiar and what you know? It’s not a “fool me once” situation, it’s someone being conditioned to take the abuse. Richard Gadd is amazing for showing the rawness of being human. I hope the women hurt are able to recover.

As someone with bipolar disorder, public figures like Toby Turner & Kanye West, who corrode their public image due to poorly managed mania, always make me feel sad for them. Even though these are adults and they're responsible for their own actions, it's still saddening to see a pattern I understand so well result in such cataclysmic outcomes. I'm so glad I'm not famous lol

It’s terrifying to think what it would be like to have an audience when you are manic and going through a episode. I already have enough regrets and shame I have to process after a episode but with people watching is a whole different level

Everyone who denies the victims are insane. At the very least, the tumblr post is so fucking specific. There ain’t know way she just made most of that stuff up. You compare that to Toby’s version of the story which is lacking in depth and context, it’s obvious who the truthful person was.

I feel so dirty for ever being a fan of Tobuscus way back when. To quote another KZfaqr, he let his fame slip through his fingers, in the worst of ways. BTW: I am the creator of the iceberg you see at the 0:34-0:46 mark! Nice to see this making the rounds (though it is outdated lol, but I do plan to make another one with a boatload more entries)

I remember this happening a few years ago and I trusted Jaclyn, didn't even bother to read the allegations. I used to really like Toby's videos and when one of my favorite female KZfaqrs vouched for him, I trusted her and this was the end of the matter for me. I am now absolutely disgusted and very disappointed in Jaclyn, and to a certain degree in myself as well.

I was absolutely obsessed with him when I was around 11-12. I still have all his songs memorized. It’s awful to see people you looked up to become disgusting and abuse those around him. I do miss that era of my life, just being a kid and having fun. Sometimes ignorance is bliss.

I watched him Freshman year of high school circa 2010-2013. I loved his energy, his jokes, his voices (as someone with ADHD and autism he felt very relatable). I was watching him play video games, Pewdiepie, CinnamonToastKen (who’s doing great!), and Two Best Friends every week. Toby Turner is a monster but I still feel sad that this is what he is. It’s sort of like an older cousin you loved seeing at family reunions turning out to be an absolute scumbag and cut out of the family, and now he has nothing but his own bed to lie in. I pity him, as one would pity any washed-up former e-celebrity. For God’s sake he was on Cartoon Network for the Annoying Orange. He was peers with Ken, Felix, Ian and Anthony, and all those other big names. It’s just crazy to think about. Don’t do drugs, kids.
