UPDATE: as of today, august 21st 2023, sammy has officially announced his retirement from social media, with him wanting to prioritize the well being of himself and his family. sammy’s statement: “Hey everyone. I was told not to say announce anything but I'm doing this for closure. I'm going to be retiring not just my Instagram but everything else too. Including KZfaq. I need to get out of the public eye not just for my welfare, but for the safety of my loved ones too. I thought I escaped the dangers that come with social media but I couldn't have been more wrong. But it's still been a fun 10-year ride, and thanks to all my supporters. I'm going to enjoy a more private life as I should've committed to a long time ago. I still aspire to do great things in the world too. But in order to do so, I must let go of the past. Don't worry, I'll be OK and so will you.” let’s all wish sammy the best of luck in the future and a happy retirement!! 💙

I wouldn't even classify him as a lolcow he was just a cringy teen who liked sonic those are a dime a dozen.Sammy was just a goofy guy Chris and Cyraxx are monsters who did horrible things to people and have psychopathic tendencies.Sammy never raped a blind kid or his mother or stalked women or vandalized property or assaulted someone like Chris or Cyraxx did. Sammy moved past his cringy phase to live a productive life where Cyraxx rots in his attic making his grandma's life hell and never learns from his mistakes.Also Sammy was 13 at the time so you can cut him some slack where Cyraxx is in his 30s and should know better. Chris chan we all know how that story ended he never learned from his mistakes and just like Cyraxx rotted away in his parents home while living off of welfare and being a public nuisance.

It's weird to think so many people tried to make it seem like he was like Chris Chan when really, Sammy was just a kid who didn't really know any better. The fact he moved on from his old videos and just tried to continue on normally shows he was more mature than more "lowcows". And frankly, he deserves his retirement from the internet, he deserves a happy life.

Sammy was at the same mental stage at 15 that people like Chris Chan, Daniel Larson and Worldoftshirts are as adults, so while those three are unable to grow out of their lolcow mentality, Sammy was able to mature into a more or less normal person.

I personally think SammyClassicSonicFan shouldn’t be considered a lolcow. He was just a kid at the time and is living a completely normal life nowadays and he’s mellowed out completely whereas most lolcows ruin their lives because of the internet.

Once again, great video! I, for one, never knew the origin of the "fricken fricks" kid (although I used to quote it often). One thing I definitely appreciated-- even though you knew you would be interviewing Sammy (and I know that was touch and go at one point trying to confirm with him), you still laid out the general perception of him in an unbiased manner. Particularly when you were talking about his Deus Ex video and how he clearly didn't understand the game at all, etc. I feel like it would be tempting to want to "go easy" on him because you know you're going to be talking to him face to face, and that he will most likely be watching the completed video. And at the same time i think you struck a great balance with being objective while ALSO taking into account the fact that he was still a young kid when he was making this content (a young kid with ASD, no less). I feel like so many internet documentarians start dipping into just straight up making fun of their subjects, which is a huge turn off for me. Personally, I just wanna know the story, without the storyteller trying to "subtly" make jabs about the person. That would be easy, I mean Sammy is a lolcow. We know he's easy to poke fun at. I'm really glad you don't do that in your videos. I hope any of that made sense. Anyway great job and keep it up!

The early internets obsession with bullying autistic people is disgusting. Like why dox him? He wasn't hurting anyone. Literally just a kid making cringe videos, which is 100% ok. It's a kid, it's going to be cringe. No need for people to be so rude for no reason. Comments like " Everything happening to you is your fault" gives me Early Chris Chan Vibes where people would make fun of him and try to act like the good guys. Completely agree. Usually they're people with severe mental disabilities as well, so even as adults it's questionable. I think it's fine to observe but the moment people interact it crosses the line.

Sammy’s story is so special to me because I think it symbolized the internet maturing, realizing what is right or wrong and starting to normalize what is right. Things are still far from perfect, but Sammy’s return and positive reception proves that the internet has changed at least slightly for the better, paralleling Sammy’s growth in content and character

I'm really glad you made this documentary. When it came to Daniel Larson it was documenting how someone with mental issues could spiral into even worse health/situations partially due to negative internet influence- but this video was the exact opposite! Though someone may be challenged and be harassed because of internet trolling efforts, it doesn't spell out a terrible life for them. Very inspiring for Sammy to have made it through and be smart enough to prioritize his mental health, he's incredibly strong for that and has come so far. It's really important to make videos that you're passionate about and even more important not to get stuck documenting downfalls. Showing how people can overcome and fight against the odds is something that absolutely needs to be noted too, and is far better for your mental health I'm sure. Looking and fixating on bad things all the time isn't good- so I hope you can keep up a good mix! Happy graduation!

I am so glad Sammy managed to escape the lolcow label with grace. From what I see, he's become a friendly and motivated college kid living a fulfilling independent life. A complete 180, which is the best outcome. Personally, I feel when Sammy started getting attention for his freakouts, he played it up for laughs and attention. But he did mix it with genuine opinions and filmmaking, such as his Adventure videos. When he started getting undesirables taking him completely seriously and harassing him, he and his parents took it like absolute champs by understanding the situation and disengaging. I wish Sammy nothing but the best, he's out there in the world with a loving partner and provided me tons of laughs.

i gotta say i agree with his mom, i get fucking with a whole ass adult like cwc but this was a straight up child who was being systematically harassed by groups of adults hiding behind anonymity on the internet for the crime of, essentially, being a child with autism on the internet. feels like theres pretty obviously an "innocent" side and a "i hope i never see whats lurking on your hidden flash drives" side. seriously if you ever reach a point in life where "doxxing a child struggling with mental illness" seems like something even remotely acceptable or reasonable to do then either you were utterly failed by the adults in your life when you were a child OR they did their best and you were a lost cause from the start.

I'm so grateful that Sammy matured and didn't become a Chris Chan. He didn't run from the memes but rather embraced them. He didn't let his autism define him. And he had caring parents who actually helped guide him on a positive path, unlike Bob and Barb for Chris. As someone with similar neurodivergent traits (if I am autistic, I'm undiagnosed), I admire the heck out of him and felt truly inspired watching this. So, thank you for making such an uplifting video covering him. It was fun to listen to!

I was a good amount of years younger around the time sammy was blowing up and all that. Only really experiences I had of seeing and or hearing about him was like old meme vids in old yt where his voice clips would be blasted over most of the vids. I did always think what he was actually like and where he was, hearing about this was a big “holy shit” moment for me. At least there was a good ending and wasn’t something like a daniel larson situation. I hope bro lives his life out and escapes his old yt vids and stuff lol. @@ethanhayward2424 I was getting a lot of dislikes on my videos from the same people coming back every time and i made a video trying to reason with them and telling them it’s useless to be a dislike stalker which just made more people start disliking on every video, and people made hate videos and I kept making videos trying to reason with them and eventually I figured out that it’s useless to reason with them. the popularity on my channel wasn’t nearly as much as Sammy’s so it wasn’t a big thing. It was contained under 50 people. And the evidence of it happening has been removed from the internet now.

Apparently Sammy is still making videos and such. Apparently they are not the same as the earlier ones. But from what I have he had to stop with the screaming because he has high blood pressure from what I have heard. But I have to say that it’s great to see that Sammy is one of those people that have a happy ending

Imo Daniel Larson isn't interesting enough to carry a video series. Only _lolcow_ with archived _shaninigans_ is Chris and no Geno has already won that race, being nearly caught up with them.
