The 2014 Cal Strength NFL Combine & Pro Day class has been working hard the past 8 weeks, preparing for the biggest job interview of their lives to try and fulfill their dreams of getting into the League. Their strength training is intense and runs the gamut of exercises, from the big compound movements like the clean, bench press and squat, to plyometrics, core work and swoll patrol. They're motivated and training alongside current NFL players like Zach Ertz, Ryan Whalen, Jeff Maehl and Chris Owusu only fuels them to train harder. It also helps when you have guys like Spencer hitting PR triples with 182kg to inspire you!

I almost stopped watching this video. Then Spencer lifted 400lbs three times and made it all better.

I like how everyone in the comments doesn't understand what getting athletes combine ready really entails. They aren't trying to bulk these dudes up so they can show how much their 1 rep squat is, they are trying to get them light so they can run fast, jump high, and look good in agility/positional drills.

That Dude yeah uhm you realize in order to get faster jump higher be more agile you actually have to get stronger so an increase in absolute strength means higher level athletic performance🤔

Relax people..theyre football players ...not weightlifters. Weights are a means to an end..not an end for them. Not gonna find many spencers out there

I would guess that the dynamic movement has better/more direct crossover to their sports movements... but maybe they plank too and just didn't film it?

Theyre not weightlifters for a reason. Their fitness goal is not pure strength and 1 rep maxes. You forget that for most of these guys, strength is less important than skill and speed. Not to mention that a lot of them are fast as hell..George Atkinson runs the 100m in 10.36.

pikanoob strength is speed the strength to mass ratio represents an athletes ability to accelerate their mass. idk just saying guys way over 200+ squatting just over 300 is not that impressive.
