Olympics were founded way back in the 1800s. They're meant to be a series of athletic competitions among representatives of our nations (cities back then). The competitions don't have to ONLY be sporting events. As long as the activity is a suitable test of athleticism and has been recognized and practiced internationally it qualifies to be an Olympic event.

Thank you for such a great introduction, great wording, and actually respecting us and calling it Breaking or Bboys/Bgirls in my culture... The only part, was the work POP/LOCK that is not Breakin, that's it's own style of dance of the HipHop culture... just to clarify that part... but everything else was spot on. As a veteran myself from the 80s, I am grateful to be alive to see this all go down, I host my own Breakin competition in Boston Massachusetts... each year for these up and coming Bboys/Bgirls... Well finally the Hip Hop era is getting a legit pass on it's legacy. The Dance is part of the Hip Hop culture. Bringing people together around the world. You know this art of dancing has been changing the world for years. It's funny that kids who invented something out of nothing..it should've been patented years ago.where that Olympic committee should give back to the communities. It's a diversified dance art form. Where children who are looking to lift up their own personal worth,can find the gratification in honestly expressing themselves. Created in the South Bronx. Big Up Hip Hop.
