Father and son Donald and Kiefer Sutherland have nearly 300 films between them, but have never worked together before the new movie “Forsaken.” TODAY’s Dylan Dreyer sat down to talk with them about what was an emotional experience for both actors.

You and my youngest son were both born on July 17th but decades apart. He was 1989. Bless your heart and soul Hawkeye! 🕊💞💫🪷🙏🏼

@GianfrancoZepskri Yes, I'm still feeling very shaken and sad about him passing. 😢 I'm going to watch MASH the film again tonight. Just finished watching the Oilers kick the Panthers but in game 6. Hopefully, we can bring home the Stanley Cup this year. I love the interview I watched yesterday where Donald talks about his connection to Canadian Hockey. I hope Kiefer and all of Donald's family and friends are managing with his passing. I'm selfishly hopeful that some sort of public memorial will be held to honour Donald Sutherland here in Canada. Maybe in Toronto at Roy Thompson Hall! 🕊💞🇨🇦🎞💫🪷🙏🏼

A very good Western and one of the best films I’ve seen in a long time and it’s January 2024. The chemistry between the two of them is the best I’ve ever seen. Not because they’re just great actors but because they are father and son, and you could tell every minute of the movie they were.

I hope Kiefer knows how much his dad loved him and how proud of him he was , you could hear it in Donald’s voice every time he spoke of his first born son . Kiefer did not grow up with his dad and seemed to want his love and validation more than anything else , I really hope he knows he had it all along . RIP Donald , you will be missed 🕊️

It would have been so much better if Donald Sutherland played Jacks father on 24 instead of James Cromwell. Cromwell is a great actor, but I feel it would have been more real between the two if Jacks father was played by Donald.

I know a lot of you are saying this is all fake that Donald abandoned his son but look closely. I am a son of a father i never met till i was 16. I lived with him for a short time but it all ended. This relationship is different. I believe in my heart that Donald wants to be a part of Kiefer's life

God I love these two men so much!!!!!!! Kiefer! I am practicing cello parts I created for some of your ballads! Please come to London Ontario and play The Aeolian (it's haunted they say :) ) It is an awesome intimate old venue that all great performers love! I've played there numerous times. Ron Sexsmith has as well! Chris, the sound guy is amazing and has class A equipment, including a $5,000 pick-up mic for my cello! Hope you come and hope to join you for a few ballads! You mentioned last time I saw you in Stratford that you wanted to hear me next time, so I am putting it out to the universe!

I read kiefer is 5 ' 9 his dad is 6 '4 his 3 younger half brothers are all close to 6'4 they look identical so no need to wonder about the height lol. I'm just making a joke about DNA bc they look.so much alike its uncanny.
