The chinatown in Paris is not only "Chinese" people. It is mostly people from Indochina and boat people from Vietnam war and Cambodian genocide that live there. That's what is different from other chinatown in the world where the Chinese immigration is the main one. Asian immigration in France is mostly composed by southeast asians which is often ignored. So your reporting is unfortunately missing a huge part of the culture of this area of Paris.

Chinatown Paris is build by khmer-Chen and Vietnamese or simply put Teochew people who migrated to South East Asia hundreds of years ago. Mainland Chinese tourists can't really relate to Chinatown Paris. Food and culture is different

"China"-town is actually misleading. Most Asian restaurants in Paris since the early 70s are run by Khmer-Chen and Vietnamese. Lots of khmer people have Chinese ancestors although they can't relate to todays China since their race is Teochew
