My beef with multiplayer is that I cant get a nice experience because people dont let me. Single player leaves a footprint for years no doubt.

People grief because they have fun griefing. Tuning incentives will not help, lol. You are assuming the griefers care about progression and experiences more than griefing. 9/10 times they just feel like ruining someone's days.

I'm fine with what they're doing with Fallout 76 as long as it's not what they're doing for future Fallout games. Hopefully it'll be a great co-op experience. We'll see when it comes out. Edit: Boy, this aged well.

I'm looking at Fallout 76 firmly as a bonus, it isn't a main Bethesda game. Just an offshoot. So if its good, awesome. But if it sucks, oh well. Starfield is their next real game.

All i want is a way to just play 4 person coop in a private server with my friends but no forced online I don't think they realize the only incentive they could have get ppl to kill each other less is PVE ive played alot of ark conans and rust and if ppl can kill you they always will

The no NPCs thing is threatening this game SO f*cking much. Let´s wait. I understand the world is not full of people because is really close to the nukes but some NPCs from the vault would come handy... I don´t know. Risky decision.

The no NPC’s kills me, it just takes away from the game. Yes the game is 25 years after the bombs drop but damn that enhances the story. I feel playing Solo your experience will suffer greatly. No raiders? Only Players is a bad decision

A problem with it being online fully is when eventually the servers are turned off, the game cannot be played ever again and it's lost.

I cant wait for this, id like to try a private session aswell when that becomes available. Its going to be epic.

Todd howard is the man... This is the best game director, you see his passion for games in his games. Like ken levine in bioshock 1. Fallout 4 is a great example. For this small amount of money you get an awesome game with tonnes of content and possibilitys. Thanks todd and your team.

I'm saving $60+ it looks like. I've been playing Fallout since waaaay back in 97. I have tried multiplayer and absolutely hated it (and as an older gamer none of my friends play video games.) I have to deal with jackwagons in the real world, I don't want to deal with them when I play video games. Solo mode is not single player mode in the truest sense of the word to me. Sounds like you can play solo but you'll still see other players. No thanks.

No NPC's nor private rooms... That's fun for that brutal eve market but the Single Player blanket won't come out.

"Our fans, they find a lot of things we're doing, and they wanna know, and so we just talked about it, like, let's just be up-front and say here's what we're doing, because we're excited about it, and we think all our fans are as well, so, it was, let's just get it all out there and let everyone know what we're doing." Oh really, Todd? Up-front? You couldn't even answer question one correctly.. "First, of course you can play this solo, alright?..Like previous Fallouts, you can play this game solo and quest" ... The question on the forums was in regard to a single player mode. Solo is not the same thing, as you've finally capitulated and made clear, though you didn't want to for some reason, I'm guessing because the fans WERE NOT excited about that aspect.. Previous Fallouts did not subject you to other players and their play styles by default, Todd... they were offline.. And then about the PvP in the follow up interview.. "Even if you're playing by yourself, you will see other players. You can interact with them or you can ignore them." ... Yeah! Just IGNORE the NUKES other players rain down upon you, mhm. "Host: So, it's always PvP? Todd: Wellllll..." .. "Host: So you can pick, it's like I don't want PvP? Todd: Welllll..." lolllll Up-front and out in the open. XD

I play Fallout so I can use my double barrel shotgun and feel like a badass. but with the new Fallout 76 I'm going to have to look like a walking frigerator with an oversized gun and hearing smack from a 10 year old yeah. I really hope that at least make some update to it.

Every npc is a real player huh... So 4 years from now I wont be able to replay huh cause the player base would have left the game and therefore no NPCs

I think they’re trying to go for a Destiny/Souls online experience but going about it the wrong way with no NPC interactions or no Offline mode.
