I got injured on 4/4/14 and its now 8/18/2015 after the after math i was left with "Traumatic Brain Injury" got hooked on Hydrocodone, got addicted tried taking my life more times than i got toes and fingers. I think it's interesting how Todd touches on the, "Truth that sets you free," that puts you beyond yourself. Honestly, that Truth only exists within the Catholic Faith, and here is why: We are built in and for community. God Himself is contained within the Trinity - 3 in one (Father-Son-Spirit) - and has never been alone. Our souls are eternal and we exist among the Communion of Saints who we can also ask to pray for us. (Since they are no longer bound to the ties of earth, they have the ability to pray unceasingly for us.) Further, it is beyond ourselves. Todd said so much is in our head, and it is so true. Within the Catholic Church, we are called to Submit to the Doctrine to TRUST what the early Church Fathers established as Truth FROM and FOR the Bible. The Bible itself is a compilation of Catholic books! Talking about being on the ROCK and not the SAND. The Catholic Church was established on Peter - the ROCK. Coincidence that Christ actually RE-NAMED him Peter? Caiphus? Which means Rock? FROM Simon Bar-Jonah? NO! Completely intentional and meaningful. And then talking about not limiting God... When we start talking about consuming the BODY and BLOOD of Christ. The physical body and blood of Christ in the Eucharist (Catholic communion), it is the GREATEST SIGN OF INTIMACY WITH CHRIST. It's like having sex with him. (Unfortunately, the world has perverted sex so much, this sounds terrible, but it's the ultimate form of intimacy because it's literally integrating His body and blood into ours. The "exchange of fluids" so to speak.) But it is! And there is so much HOLINESS and TRUTH within it. AND IT DOESN'T LIMIT GOD TO BREAD AND GRAPE JUICE. It turns Him to a PHYSICAL and REAL substance that CONVERTS our MIND BODY AND SOUL to be more like Him. I agree with Todd that, "The Devil is after our belief." And the Devil is winning because of the separation that has been brought about by the Protestant Reformation. I WAS A PART OF IT! But we need to reform again! WE NEED TO RETURN TO OUR MOTHER CHURCH! The unity needs to happen. We need to submit and Trust and GET OUTSIDE OF OURSELVES. Let go of Pride and Ego. There is so much Truth to be found and to be had. And guess what. Believe is a VERB. We have to actively do it. It's not a noun and it's not passive. We have to ACTIVELY DO SOMETHING in order to believe in Christ and Christ's ministry and salvation. In the words of Todd, "I'm not being mean, I'm being real." Love you all! My ministry is exactly what Todd talked about too. To bring people to a closer intimacy with Christ. What I shared here is Truth and it is from the Triune God. I, personally, have faced some serious struggles recently with my brain surgery (12/17) and my oldest older brother dying 2 days later (12/19), but I have not felt God leave my side for one moment; even from the day of diagnosis (11/24). What would Todd's perspective have been? That I should have foregone the surgery? Opted to not get out of bed rest to be present with my family at my brother's memorial service and support them by saying words of affirmation about my confidence of my brother's salvation? Didn't God give the talent to the surgeon to have the ability to perform a successful surgery? Could God have perhaps WANTED me to have to take a break and be still for 4-6 weeks so I could develop a different relationship with Him or my family or the people that are in my life? God can and will use EVERY situation for His Good. It is up to us to determine whether we will allow Him to because we have free will. We have choices. We can be hopeful or distraught; fearful or courageous; loving or angry. God is Good and His Faithfulness endures forever. He is unchanging. Now and forever. Thanks for reading. When I got hit with this thing everyday I told people God was going to heal me week after week, month after month, year after year, they still say when? I say when God says They tell me to fight it, I can not. I haven't seen it they haven't seen it, but I have heard them say they don't believe because they only see me suffer more. It is really not a good thing for organizations, people places and things almost 'insist' that our problems are our identity. That might be true for the world but we are not of the world. In the world it was < 'I am my own disease".. "I am my own contradiction'..it's a contradiction of terms if one is not of the world but in the world. It really does require the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation (Eph 1)..as Paul was praying for them; that our identity is not defined by who I was but in ALl Things new.
