I watched that trial and the state had a representative from Cindy Anthony’s employer come in and prove that Cindy was at her desk at work when those searches were done on the home computer. The is wrong on some of the case facts too. It was proven to be Caylee’s hair in the trunk and it was just speculated by defense that the searches were a software error and they searched when Cindy was clocked in at work, so it was for sure Casey. Also searched fool proof suffocation right around the time Caylee died but it wasn’t found until later.

Definitely a strange family. I think all that shows that George and Cindy never held Casey accountable for ANYTHING and wanted always to believe the best in their daughter. They did not have this information at the time when the trial was happening! They've searched her internet explorer browser history and did not find any of this stuff. Later on it turned out she was using firefox browser from another account and searched for these words but it was too little too late! Now its not possible to bring this case back to court anymore.

I was just going back looking at some old cases. That's so true! As excellent as Dr. Todd is, he left out some important things in his post-trial fact finding summary. The biggie being that um.. a DEAD BODY was confirmed to have been in the back of her car! All the specialists who testified to the smell, George!, then the cadaver dogs who are extremely accurate, and finally the defense specialist who later confirmed he wasn't allowed to speak on anything but the science of the trash. Had he been allowed to expand, 100% he would have confirmed he believed it was a dead body. I mean... case closed Casey.

I think that her Parents were supporting her. At the very least they were babysitting Kaley. I think that they were expecting Casey to do more for Kaley. They were still married, as was and is the norm for many people. Casey never married her baby Daddy. To them this was probably a source of irritation. I also think that Mr and Mrs Anthony intimated that they could take her kid. Maybe that they would take her kid, so that the little girl would be raised "responsibly". Casey was too busy partying and having a good ole time to be a real Mom as her parents saw it. They probably made her parenting painful. They chipped in with supporting the baby. Maybe they could do a better job than she? Casey probably loved her daughter but also reckoned that if she couldn't have her than nobody could have her. "If I can't have her, nobody is going to have her!" is a common motive. It's idiotic thinking. I would rather see someone in good hands than be dead. I've let girlfriends go for that reason. He was better for her than me. I did not like it but it was for the best. Wasn't like I was going to murder anyone but it made letting them go a lot easier.

There’s an entire community of people (the majority of Black people) that engage in that type of “parenting,“ Nobody says anything about it it’s just a given. I think she duct taped her and left her in the car while she partied at the club. I think she did that a lot instead of getting a babysitter or staying at home. And one time she stayed in the club too long or duct taped her too tightly and it finally ended poor Caley. Casey is a monster

I lost track of my oldest nephew in a mall when he was about 2. His mom was trying on clothes and had left him in my care. Little stinker was hiding inside clothes racks and giggling about me looking for him. But I've never been so scared in my life.

My brother when he was about 9 went outside from the neighbor house where he was playing with his friends. I just couldn't believe when the neighbors told us that "he was not there". I went running on the streets and looking for him and at cars and all the way I was mumbling "this is not happening, this is not true" again and again. My father found him sitting at a bar 20 meters from our home. I have never felt so helpless and desperate in my life.

Not that simple. Cindy wanted Casey to be a good mother. She wasn't about to let Casey off the hook that easy.

While working with Child Protective Services, I had seen many parents drug (whether alcohol, pills, etc) their children so they could go out to party. Casey may have done this on purpose or by accident, either way, she got off way too easy. I was shocked at the verdict and the thought of her getting away with murder still makes me sick to my stomach. I’m sure she’s doing fine now, she has no conscience and is a habitual liar. And the way her attorneys behaved after the not guilty verdict, jubilantly celebrating (the old guy gave the finger to reporters) only shows you this is a game to them. The whole thing was disgusting!!!

Her mother refused to keep Caley anymore and then her mother slapped her. I think that caused Casey to kill her daughter.

This makes no sense. Cindy or George would have seen Caylee at the house if Casey just left her there alone. She suffocated her after she googled fool proof suffocation, threw her in the trunk and after a few botched ways of disposing her body early on in the days after she killed her, she threw her in the woods to rot and ditched the car after the odor became too much.

Well, one of the biggest problems with the state's case was they charged Anthony with first degree murder and the autopsy was indeterminate (ie they couldn't say for certain how she died). Or when. Or where. So first degree murder is really overplaying your hand, so to speak. Something like you're talking about, with a 'involuntary manslaughter' charge due to negligence would have been much more likely to land a conviction.

Dr. Grande I took the MMPI and the results came back as entirely "inconclusive." The psychiatrist was flabbergasted and in 30+ years of practice he had never seen that happen with the MMPI. The test was re-run and again found to be inconclusive. He spoke with the office in CA that processes the tests and he received some info as to why the results could be inconclusive. Basically I scored extremely high in honesty and consistency in my responses but yet there were no other patterns to be found anywhere. So apparently they seek specific patterns and I was all over the place in my answers but still considered extremely honest and consistent. The psychiatrist accused me of randomly filling out the test and not taking it seriously and that wasn't the case at all. I took it very seriously and answered each question very honestly. So have you ever heard of this happening with the MMPI and what does this mean about my psychology?

You believe deeply in your own lies and self-suggestion to the point of making them real to others. People tend to omit the entirety of the defense's case. They said that it was an accidental drowning and the reasoning for the duct tape and not calling the cops for a month was bc they were embarrassed that she had drowned and tried to frame it as if she were kidnapped and killed.

Eventually, she began to emit the smell of death, so the trunk was opened, and her little body was likely re-wrapped / re-bagged. Fluid would be coming out of her mouth and nose...as well as maggots. (sorry). She/They taped the little girl's nose and mouth to contain this from continuing to occur....until she/they could find a safe disposal area for little Caylee. And unless an evaluator sees evidence of it during the brief time they are involved with her, it’s not going to be diagnosed because any smart borderline or sociopath can fake normal in a contrived clinical situation. We know that doesn’t occur from an organic issue in the brain or biochemistry or genetics, but as a result of a systematically & dysfunctional and traumatic environment. I think she’s an only child (?) so the parents could direct all the dysfunction onto her from birth. They certainly are not going to give ANY negative history when asked! Also, Casey is smart and every smart borderline seems WONDERFUL at first but as you observe over time....watch out! And in an outpatient clinical setting you may never get a glimpse of the behaviors, reactions etc that are troubling. I’ve been clinical but with access to residential or actually working right in the residence. Lately, it’s with adults in rehabs, detoxes & halfway houses. I can say without a shadow of doubt that meeting someone like Casey Anthony for a couple one on one sessions, there is no way to observe her “natural” behaviors, reactions and belief systems. She’s smart. She knows what’s distorted in her thinking and even tho she thinks SHE’S RIGHT she also knows what answers are expected from her. So ultimately this is all moot I just realized because diagnosing a mental disorder would not have helped convict her. It would aid the defense. Who clearly did the impossible without it! And had she been found to have any form of sociopathy like a personality d/o it would’ve been moot because she still knows right and wrong! A sociopath just doesn’t care. We’d be blaming the finding of not guilty of any murder charge on the mental disorder had she been determined to have one, instead of being shocked and dumbstruck at what many feel is a miscarriage of justice.

Cindy had Caylee for one week straight while she was on vacation. Casey was free as a bird. The day Cindy went back to work is the day Caylee died. June 16th. That same day she did a search on her computer - FULL PROOF SUFFOCATION - during the hours while both Cindy and George were at work. It was deleted from FireFox. That's been proven . So she did it!

When you don't want a child, don't bond with it, there is no way you're ever going to care for that child. Casey was never going to turn out decent due to family dynamics. Her father DID NOT abuse her, but her parents relationship was very problematic and her mom never disciplined her growing up so that just fueled her narcissistic personality. I remember this case very, very well, and remember how I felt when Casey was FINALLY arrested, and again when she was NOT found guilty. I followed this case too. If I recall correctly, Cindy (Casey's mother) was very involved with little Caylee-- almost like Caylee was her own daughter. I thought perhaps the attention Cindy gave to Caylee made Casey upset. I wondered if Cindy failed to show very much love to Casey as she was growing up. Then when Casey saw all the attention her mother was giving to Caylee, it made her jealous and angry. Therefore, perhaps Casey decided to get back at her mother by eliminating Caylee. All of them lived together in that small house which would have caused a lot of tension. Did any of you wonder about Cindy seeming obsessed with little Caylee?

The prosecution was caught off guard and should take blame. They were caught off guard when the defense claimed that the death was accidental. They should have anticipated this and built their case accordingly. Casey got by with murder.

You people think you know the facts of the case as they were heard in the court room, when in reality, you only know of little bits here and there, usually to sway you into believing one side or the other. The 12 jurors heard all the facts of the case and received a set of jury instructions that had to be followed. These instructions are generally clear and concise. e.g If you determine that Casey did not do action "X" then charge "1" should yield a "Not guilty" verdict and lesser included charges should not be considered etc. So all in all, based on what was discussed in the court and based on the legal standards, they probably yielded the correct verdict. I personally believe that she DID commit the murder. However it is incredibly important, above all, to maintain the presumption of innocence and the proving of one's guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The reality is that sometimes we will get cases like these. Cases where the common sense part of our minds tell us that of course "she's guilty!" but the evidence-based side of the case don't actually sufficiently support that proposition. This is unfortunately a part of a justice system that leans in favour of the freedom and liberties of defendants, as it should.

Well, the jury system is based on the idea of a jury "of your piers"... seems she got exactly that...

That must have been horrifying for you. I was in the store visiting with my sister and all of a sudden my daughter was gone! She was about 4 at the time. I was the same for about a minute that lasted an hour! She was a couple aisles down. She’d never done that before but I was distracted. I thank God no one took her every time I think of that. She’s 20 and I still worry.

I hate when people who are completely untrained and uneducated in psychology make judgements about how others act during and after traumatic occurrences. I will go ahead and add---I know of a case in which the accused was absolutely innocent and the DA made judgements about how the accused was acting during the first month after the allegation. The accused was not acting sad and upset enough about the situation for the DA. The accused posted a picture of herself on social media smiling. I was told by the accused that she was in shock, the situation didn't seem real, it seemed like a novel she was reading, like it was happening to someone else during that early time. A few months later, it hit her full force. And I know that's very similar to how my brain reacted when my husband unexpectedly died at a young age. So I've had just about enough of "Anthony didn't act sad or worried or panicked, at least not that we can see, she danced and smiled, she must be guilty." I don't know whether she's guilty or not, and I don't know, if she is guilty, exactly WHAT she's guilty of, but her behavior proves nothing.

It could be a piece of evidence, which combined with much other evidence, proved she murdered her, but by itself it does not. The most you can say about it, by itself, is that it could prove she had something to hide, but what? That she killed her with malice aforethought? We don't know. That she killed her accidentally? We don't know. That she knows who killed her and is covering up for that person? We don't know. That she was negligent in leaving her daughter for too long with the person who then killed her? My daughter didn't get off on her spot I called the bus company and had 3 people at that stop waiting for her while I was on my way. She wouldn't get off the bus for strangers. I had my friends hold the bus till I got her. Yeah she got off on so many charges. This should have been cut and dry. I blame the judge and prosecutor.

I was too, I was yelling at the tv. I couldn't believe it. She didn't even get child abuse,.

I watched the trial carefully and listened to the evidence and the defense. Personally, I do find her behavior bizarre when taken overall. First, she says that the nanny who is interestingly enough called Xanny, which is also a street name for Xanax, kidnapped her daughter. She told a story about working at a location where she did not work and took the detectives there on a wild goose chase. She found an apartment complex with a tenant's name Zenaida and then used that as the supposed location where she had left her daughter thereby implicating this woman who had nothing to do with it. Then, the defense does a 180 and says that the child drowned, that she found her, and that, when she told her father, together they decided to cover it up!? Now, we are talking about reasonable when it comes to believing the evidence one hears at trial. There is nothing reasonable about the premise that one's child has drowned accidentally and rather than call 911 and attempt resuscitation, you decide to bag the child up and dump them in the woods. I do not know how the jury considered that as a reasonable response which therefore gave them reasonable doubt as to the State's statement of facts. Circumstantial evidence is every bit as strong as direct evidence and can be considered with the same weight. I believe that the circumstantial evidence in this case points to Casey Anthony accidentally overdosing her child with Xanax, possibly, in order to make her sleep, or possibly using some other method to make her sleep and left her in the trunk, so no one would see a child sleeping alone in a vehicle, where she died while her mother was out partying. I know that that is a theory but whether it was exactly that way or some other I do believe Casey was responsible for her daughter's death. I do not believe that she intentionally killed the child so first degree murder would not have applied. As to her behavior, of course I defer to the experts., however, just from the facts that were presented, her behavior is rather distant, detached, showing little empathy and if one watches the meeting she had with her parents while she was in jail and how angry she became and how she attacked them, things become a little clearer. I found her very manipulative with her parents. I was also amazed at the ease with which she lied and the level to which she was able to make those lies believable. Or in other words, how credible she came across as though she believed them herself. Even though later in the trial we find out that her story has completely changed. I do not believe that George Anthony sexually abused her or would have taken his granddaughter and dumped her in the woods, in the swamp, in a bag.

I think the marriage of the parents was in trouble and Cindy was trying to use George as a fall guy to clear Casey's name and get him out of her life at the same time. (I believe Cindy, at least, knew Casey murdered Caylee.)
