Some dentists make a lot of money, and some make a lot less. My dentist doesn't do any unnecessary work, or cosmetic work that he doesn't feel experienced enough to create a good result with, and told me he doesn't make a great living, which surprised me. He dissuaded his son strongly from pursuing dentistry, despite his son's desire and skills w/ his hands and intelligence, bc of the money. Apparently, if you don't do a lot of over-drilling that too many dentists do nowadays, the pay is not great. That's relative, tho.

The fact that her blood pattern showed she was cut while on the floor negates anything else. It is likely Greg was induced to stab Kirk with the spear after she was dead. How was his blood on top of her DRIED blood? That indicates a time lapse between her injuries, which HAD to come first and his injuries, which occurred later. He is absolutely guilty.

@@finwefingolfin7113 "Why would he need to claim self defence?" She attacked him. "If she took the spear off the wall as claimed, any normal person would have realised that negotiations were over and left the scene in a hurry..." In real life that doesn't work; unless you want to get stabbed in the back. It's difficult to retreat from someone with a long weapon in a confined area. "instead he takes out his pocketknife and 'accidentally' surgically slashes her throat while she jabs at him once with a spear?" You misspelt "stabbed him with the spear". "what was wrong with that jury??" It was self-defence because she'd already stabbed him.

I think Greg and Kirk concocted Jennifer's demise. He made an excuse to get near her (Greg), prepared an explanation for her alleged aggression (documents he brought with him), used his expertise to lethally attack her and stage an attack upon himself, and sealed the deal with his social status and some top-notch lawyers. Many cheating husbands have clumsily attempted to get rid of their ex-partners. Kirk was intelligent enough to think this through. Sounds guilty AF, at least of manslaughter.

There are many cases when a person has to pay alimony despite never becoming marriage. This is because the court determines that there was a common law marriage or a relationship similar to marriage. A spear isn't too bad either. How did he manage to get near enough to stab her? Did she drop the spear? Maybe it got jammed on his thigh? Very odd. I wonder if they did a reconstruction of the scene.

Not sure he didn't get away with murder; hard to know really who attacked whom first. My other question is: how did a dentist make so much money? It is not that lucrative a field that he could earn all that without some fraud going on. The dollar figures mentioned as just way too high for a dentist, even a dental surgeon.

Where do you live that contains more modestly earning dentists? One implant, even one tiny part of the implant or procedures costs as much as a good used car. A whole arch or entire mouth of implants costs as much as small real estate property or brand new luxury top vehicles.

@barbarapaige4587 18 күн бұрын
@@neelymurphy6797 I see your point, but I still question how he seemingly made hundreds of thousands a year. I speak as a dental hygienist, and can tell you the average practice does not see many full-mouth implants. Overhead in dental offices runs 60-70% even in well-managed practices. The fees for crowns, implants, etc include the 50% laboratory fee to make them, so while they are profitable, they're not that profitable. However if a dentist decides to overcharge insurance, Medicare, or claim to do certain procedures he/she doesn't perform then that can generate a lot of money. I'm just questioning if there was fraud going on.

@@barbarapaige4587I have to ask where you live, because I have two friends who are dentists, here, in Los Angeles, and they make that much; and BTW, they are, DEFINITELY NOT COMMITTING FRAUD!! That is how much dentists make in many states, but, definitely, not in all. Also, my husband's cousin is a dentist, in San Francisco, and he makes that much - EASILY - and is ABSOLUTELY NOT, EVEN REMOTELY, COMMITTING FRAUD! MY HUSBAND'S DENTIST, IN SANTA MONICA, CALIFORNIA, ALSO, PROBABLY MAKES MORE THAN THE WIFE KILLER DOES. Nout everyplace is like wherever you live; in fact, aa MANY, MANY PLACES ARE ALOT LIKE WHERE I LIVE. I think that it just, probably, depends, very, very much, upon where one lives, how much mosh those in certain professions make. Even those who have just, basic, simple jobs - even minimum wage jobs, make VERY DIFFERENT amounts in different states! In California, for example, minimum wage workers made, at least, $15.00 per hour, for many years longer than it was even required, by law, in many other states. There are Federal min wage laws, but, individual states can, also, and do, make amounts that are higher than the federal, simply because of cost of living differences. When I heard, about 5 years ago, what the minimum wage was, in Virginia, in Missouri, in Michigan, I was FLOORED!! No one, here, would have worked for that, and haven't even been asked to do so, since more than 10 years earlier! Also, BTW, FAST FOOD WORKERS, SINCE APRIL, HERE, IN CALIFORNIA, MAKE $20.00 PER HOUR, BY LAW. SO, YOU SEE, WHERE YOU LIVE MAKES A BIG DIFFERENCE. 🤷‍♀️ SUCH IS LIFE...

He was a dental surgeon. If he was practicing full time as a dental surgeon specializing in extractions, implants, and root canals, it is not impossible to believe that he earned 600 thousand a year since those procedures cost patients easily thousands of dollars. A few years ago, I was told by a salesperson of a local manufacturer of crowns that they usually cost the dentist a few hundred dollars for a crown, and the dentist turns around and charges the patient 1500 for one. He told me that some dentist buy their crowns from China and the profit margin is a lot greater.

It seems to me that Kirk called his friend Greg to come over as he knew he could not handle his wife without help. He likely had Greg carefully use the spear on him after they killed her. Between the time she was dead and the police were called they were busy setting up the crime scene. They planned on getting away with murder, and they did. That was either a kangaroo court or the prosecutor didn’t do his job right. No way that a jury could come to this conclusion if the facts were laid before them accurately.

First, I don't agree that Kirk used excessive force. Considering that she wounded him in the groin, there was a distinct possibility that she had hit a major artery, making it very possible that he would pass out soon. He had to use such force that would render her unable to make further attacks after he became unconscious. Second, a potential factor not mentioned is the extreme emotional attachment which horse devotees (especially females) have with respect to their access to their horses. The proposal to force the sale of the farm might have triggered her into a rage and thus, the attack.

@@connywolfram8305 I don't know anyone who can 100% hit the groin, but I would have to say that the thigh is close, and it only takes a fraction of a second to move a bit so as not to get stabbed in the Groin. However, @connywolfram8305 makes some great points, especially when you have been around people who ride and care for horses. I say that anyone who cheats on their spouse needs to be in prison for a minimum of 5 years and lose everything. and OneDAY, we will put cheaters in prison for a minimum of 5 years, as nothing causes more pain to kids and the cheated spouse than cheating. Get a divorce, and before you get married, vet and agree to many key factors. I still think, by statistics, that calling SEX love is the biggest mistake: Love and hate are two ends of an emotional spectrum, and true love is what a mom feels for their child: SEX is a biological urge, as is breathing, eating, drinking and your heartBEAT...

I collect and build historical weapons. The timeline of events seems right from the weapons used. A spear is a long range weapon and easily handled and can be used by even a very small lady. It's very difficult to get past a spear unstabbed.A small pocket knife would require him to close the gap between the spearhead past the shaft to get to her. This scenario is often seen with historical renactors. They often get stabbed before they get past the head of the spear.

Cant believe he retrieved a pocket knife while so badly injured, from trouser leg ! Jacket pocket would have been believable ! Where is proof that the friend did not actually witness the event, and there to assist, considering motive to lie about it afterwards to avoid being an accessory ? His going there was by his own free will. Why was the origin and owner of the spear not identified ? Sounds like a very strange weapon to keep in a work shed vs an ornament on the wall in the house ? The lack of finger prints indicates the use of surgical gloves. He was the most likely to have them from his profession. The lack of fingerprints on both weapons, indicates the same individual wield both. To think she also brought surgical gloves is ridiculous. He was the most desperate. There was no evidence she invited him there as a form of entrapment. Looks like a botched investigation, and a poorly instructed jury.
