To start learning the Single Plane golf swing, I produced a pocket guide that you can take to the golf course or the range. You can Learn to swing like Roberto. Just a pick up a copy of the Single Plane pocket guide here: SwingPocketGuide.com.
If you ever wondered if the Single Plane Swing could hit the ball as long as the conventional swing, here is your answer. In the video I will teach you about Roberto Lebrija, a Latin American Tour Player who can generate more speed than most players on the PGA Tour - with a Moe Norman Single Plane Golf Swing.
To learn the Single Plane Swing, you can purchase my book here: www.amazon.com/Single-Plane-G...
More about the Single Plane Golf Swing
The Single Plane golf swing is not a quick fix golf technique. It is a system, beginning at address, that simplifies the most important moment of the golf swing - impact.
Starting at address on two planes where the arms hang straight down at address, the Conventional golf swing is complicated. Because the arms are hanging straight down, a conventional golfer must lift the body into impact creating stress on the back.
This upward movement to accommodate the two planes is unnecessary.
The Single Plane Golf swing simplifies the golf swing by eliminating the need for the upward movement by starting and impacting on the same plane.

I discovered the single plane about 7 years ago somewhere else before I found you and Mo. All I did was raise my hands to the swing plane and the best I could, I would keep my swing arc long and wide while keeping my arms nice and straight. I was able to start driving the ball 280-290 and once hit one 320 dead straight with driver, never forget the feeling. And once 290 with a 3wood rolled on the green and shot an eagle for the whole. I could hit the driver straight and far all the time, at will. I was not able to do it with the irons though, which was very frustrating. I would have problems hitting everything fat but still get good distance. I had a conventional coach try helping with the irons and it wrecked my swing for the driver, it only took 30 minutes to ruin my swing. It's Painful, still working on it, but almost have it back. I find in hard using your technique, so I just focus on keeping hands on swing plane, huge difference. I love the Mo video's! What a great character. The short videos are awesome.

Years ago I watched Pancho DeNeefe drive balls over the back fence of the Albert Park driving range which is super high and probably about 300 metres out. He was also able to hit a 48 degree pitching wedge to the 200 Metre green while I was hitting a 4 wood. The guy was a monster hitter.

What I noticed most about this swing is the golfers legs getting wider initially. A point Moe made about his swing, sitting into his knees. As a new member of the online academy I’ve found that the “squat” is the best move for my transition and I’m making better contact, better ball compression and the yardage that I “lost” is now back and I’m even hitting the ball a little farther and definitely straighter.

I'm no Roberto when it comes to swing speed, BUT I can honestly say, when I switched to the SPS, I gained about 15 yards more distance on the average with my driver. Guys my swing speed is approximately low 90s, so my total distance is around 225-235 yards. That seems kind of long for only 90 mph right? The key is the combination of attack angle, launch angle, and spin rate, and of course hitting the ball in the sweet spot on the clubface. For low swing speed players, it's better if you think like LPGA swings, not PGA swings, and I guarantee you'll enjoy the game a lot more. In a nut shell, the SPS allowed me to be FAR more efficient and accurate with attack angle, launch angle, and spin rate.

@@latman1 Ball position is consistent. Stance width is the variable. No matter your height. So to vary the trail foot as long as the lead foot and ball position is all that changes with height. The ABT has room for variance for your trail foot as well. Also, distance to the ball is very similar because arm length is a variable of height. You would be surprised that the distance to the ball is similar with tall vs. short people as well, as long as the clubs are fit properly.

If you expect Roberto to look like Moe, it is a misunderstanding of the mechanics however, Every element of Moe's swing is recognized in Roberto's motion. Every Moe element is there, just a different body type.

@@ToddGravesGolf so instead of answering my question you double down on "fundamentals". What's interesting is your choice of tactic. I don't "expect Roberto to look like Moe" as you said in your previous reply. In fact, I claimed EXACTLY the opposite in my original comment. I also indirectly alluded to the very same thing in my reply afterward. Do I need to say it again though to make sure it's absolutely clear or can we maybe not make false statements about my expectations and then claim I have a "misunderstanding of the fundamentals"? Can I ask you to at least examine your logic from another perspective? According to you, "every element of Moe's swing is recognized in Roberto's motion" makes it a "Moe Norman Swing". If that's the case can we conclude then that if we can identify every fundamental element of Tiger's swing in Rory's swing, we can call it a "Tiger Woods Swing"? Do you also claim Bryson's swing as a "Moe Norman Swing" or does he not display all of the necessary fundamentals to meet your criteria? With that, how many fundamentals are necessary to meet the threshold to be called a "Moe Norman Swing"? I don't expect answers to any of those questions because to answer them would be to admit our use of the phrase "Moe Norman Swing" was ill conceived, misleading, and inaccurate. You have already shown you have no desire to answer questions of that type. So let's just call them rhetorical. I'll see myself out.
@ToddGravesGolf
@ToddGravesGolf Жыл бұрын
@@patricklavigne4963 A golf swing is a sequence of body movements and there are measurable metrics to the motion of the body. Bend, SIdebend and Rotation. These metrics, when positionally measured, determine the body's motion. This is what makes a golf swing the same or different. These elements are quantifiable in all golf swings. Every golfer rotates, bends and sidebends. In that regard all swings are the same. What makes a swing different is in the quantity of these attributes during the motion. For example, when you sidebend the body, the trail shoulder externally rotates, naturally rotating the arm approximately 20 degrees. IF you begin the swing with more sidebend, you also start with more trail arm rotation. If you start with more arm rotation at the beginning, you can then move into impact with less rotation (From address to impact). This constitutes a biomechanical difference than someone who does not have sidebend, had the hand more rotated internally at address and must then tilt and rotate the arm in the backswing to achieve impact. You could say that the swings are the same, that both golfers had sidebend and rotation but they are very different in how much sidebend occurred during the motion from address to impact. In this aspect, Rory and Tiger are the same yet, are quantifiably different when measured.
