@@Teaching2and3YearOlds Those are helpful but I still wonder if you just let the kids loose to explore all the centers on their own or do you formally introduce each center and show them each activity ever time there is something different in them? Like do you have them follow you to each center every week to show them what there is to do?

As I have said in my centers time videos, they have always been free-choice. I have never thought to do otherwise because I feel strongly that young preschoolers have the opportunity to explore at their own pace. Sometimes they will want to stay in one center for a long period of time and sometimes they will “ping pong” all over, visiting each center numerous times. I want to honor where their interest are each day. I do not formally I introduce each center with this age group, but am with them while they are exploring so I can assist and share more when needed. However, all of our older preschool classes (3 and up) start their day with a morning meeting and introduce the day’s activities then. I hope this helps!
